Chapter 27: The Plans For My Future
The following day I mostly ignored her ramblings about weed and freedom.
I don't know if she is some kind of reincarnator and she is just fucking with me through the memes, but I don't think she knows I have memories of the planet earth as well.
I will properly look into this and find out if the Plaguesis the wise actually lived in this world.
Honestly, I think it might be true.
This world was created by people from the other side after all. They are the gods. I don't think they have any influence on this world as this is just a fiction for them but they might have added stupid shit like this as an inside joke. You know, an easter egg for themselves to laugh at it. Its kind of hilarious that a star wars meme would actually be a significant event here after all.
Anyway. Glai just kept talking and her husband was silent most of the time. He is a true simp actually. The only time he ever talks is whenever I disrespect his waifu. He can't do shit to me and it's kind of cute how he tries to protect her with his words.
As much as I love explosions and I want to meet Megumin, seeing such things in front of me threw them to the back of my mind.
Unfortunately, my fears were correct. I can't use their abilities when they're in my inventory. I kinda freaked out Glai and Excalibur when I first put them into my inventory. I kinda overlooked the fact that they are actual living beings. Living beings aren't supposed to be able to enter my inventory but I guess it's an exception if they are bound to a weapon or something, I dunno. I will experiment on that later.
Honestly, I feel like I'm neglecting the gamer system a little bit. Maybe instead of firebending, I should put most of my focus into learning the secrets and functions of the gamer system.
Hidden perks were amazing after all. Maybe there are more hidden things that I need to unlock myself. Map, Inventory, auto-eating and a few other things made themselves known to me only after I took effort to learn about them. I might have never seen the map function if I didn't take a map from the mansion after all.
Anyway, apparently when they're in inventory they don't feel anything. It's a time jump for them. Is that the correct term? Time travel maybe?
I knew time didn't pass inside the inventory but seeing its effects like this is rather incredible. Glai freaked out and didn't shut up about how the sky turned dark instantly.
I of course didn't answer truthfully and just told her it's a chi technique that lets you store things inside your soul. That's more believable than my inventory, besides apparently they have been inside the chest for centuries so new chi techniques and stuff weren't that unbelievable. It wasn't hard to make her believe and shut up about it.
I have been using Excalibur to get a feel of the plasma bending. From my observation, it's kind of like dense light? No, that's not right. It's not dense like metal. It's like Fire dagger technique to the maximum. Ah, concentrated light should be more correct I guess.
It's like a lightsaber from star wars. It's extremely hot to the fact that I don't think there is anything it can't cut but somehow the heat doesn't radiate to its surroundings.
I will need to learn lightbending before touching plasma bending.
As for Glai, her function is rather simple. When I slash the air it automatically gathers the air around it and releases it as a slash. Basically, whenever I slash I also let out a wind blade. It also has the function of gathering and holding the wind so I can release stronger wind blades if I keep it from releasing for a while. It's basically useless without the second part since the usual single slashes let out wind blades that can't even scratch my skin.
It seems I was too hopeful to think I could use airbending just because I have her.
Anyway, there are still ways to learn other ways of bending.
In the future, I will go to the Lion Turtles or great spirits like the Moon Spirit in the Northern Water Tribe. I'm sure they can give the ability to do so.
They were the ones who gave humanity the ability to fight with elements in the first place. I'm not sure but the only reason humans couldn't hold more than 1 bending style was because of their weak bodies.
The first Avatar Wan could only hold more than 1 style thanks to the Raava holding it for him, otherwise, his body would fail and break.
Thanks to the gamer system I should have no difficulties. Gamer's body would handle that. If it couldn't I can still practice and reach supernatural levels of physical power thanks to the system. But yeah, Gamer's body will most likely make it a VIT check or something. A+ or S level of vitality should be enough to hold more bending powers so I have no real concerns about that. I just need time.
Speaking of time, I scheduled everything as well as I can. I will meet Jeong Jeong and learn defensive techniques, and go on my way to the northern water tribe just when the fire nation is attacking them.
I doubt the moon spirit would just gift me water bending so casually just because I asked her, but saving her life should work well enough. I can also meet the avatar and the gaang to build a positive relationship with them.
Seeing how all my plans going perfectly (even better than I expected actually) gives me great satisfaction. Everything has been going great and probably keep going great for a long time. There is nothing better than this.
...I didn't just put a red flag on my head, right?
