Chapter 75: Confession (1)

Dmitri’s eyes slowly flicker open and he looks around. The events of last night are a blur to him but he recalls transforming in the middle of the forest. He frowns as he realizes that he is back in the inn and abruptly sits up.

Someone has clothed him and his injuries have healed faster thanks to his hybrid genes.

What the hell happened? He wonders. He racks his brain, trying to remember. Last night, he ran into the forest to transform and someone was following him.

“Roseanne!” He gasps.

“What is it?”

Dmitri snaps his head around to find that Roseanne is rushing out of the bathroom, her hair dripping. She is relieved to find him awake and healthy. Hurrying towards his side, she touches his chest.

“Thank the goddess,” she whispers. “Your injuries are healed.”

“How did I get here?” Dmitri asks. “And last night…”

“We managed to defeat the Undead,” she tells him. “I buried it in the ground and put a spell over it!”

“You what?”
