Chapter 169: 168. Love is a Great Power

Gwen knew full well that in his current crazy state, Lex would never listen to her. What can say, if when he still had at least a little sanity, he simply brushed Gwen away like she was an annoying fly and did not listen to her arguments in any way? This time, counting on a different outcome would be the height of stupidity.
It's not even a fact that he would have paid attention to the girl herself because now he was too focused on destroying the incoming capsules in the most sophisticated ways, the number of which did not decrease, although it seemed much more. Vilgax decided not to be stingy this time…
Knowing that her boyfriend now looks more like an angry bull, Gwen decided, figuratively speaking, to wave a red rag in front of his eyes, which will attract his attention, but also most likely anger him, which will lead to an unwanted battle, because just like that, the guy will not calm down.
But, there is no such choice, because, first of all, it is necessary that Lex's attention is switched to Gwen and he forgets about drones, which are not the biggest problem now.
In the current situation, Gwen will not be able to calm the guy using brute force, because even despite the greater amount of mana at the girl's disposal, this will not help her in the face of the natural disaster that Lex has become.
Worse, the longer Lex sprays, the closer the moment of his self-explosion and Gwen needs to finish everything quickly and the only option left is to count on luck. All in all, everything is as always...
- Hey! - Gwen shouted, flying as close as possible to the guy, around whom a dense aura of magic was blazing, which was expanding with every second and had already reached a radius of four meters.
Of course, as expected, Lex completely ignored her and continued to laugh like crazy, while destroying a new pack of robots with a giant magic-created grenade launcher.
It seemed that even though he completely lost control of himself due to his anger and bloodline, Lex's resourcefulness hadn't been lost, which unnerved Gwen more, since she was the one who had to deal with it.
Sighing heavily, when her hopes for an easy path did not materialize, Gwen created a meter-long magic disk and threw it directly at Lex's head, who didn't care, because the aura surrounding him immediately destroyed the disk, and he calmly continued what he was doing before.
With a sigh of annoyance at this, Gwen poured a lot more mana into the new disc and even spun it harder for efficiency, which worked great as the disc cut through the aura around Lex like a saw and hit him right in the head, in the end, having crashed, but the disk reached its goal and the guy immediately noticed it.
- Damn… - Gwen swore involuntarily as Lex turned his head and looked directly at her, his eerie glowing eyes.
At the same time, the guy dispelled the weapon he created, which Gwen considered a good sign, and trying to be as gentle as possible, slowly said: - Lex, let's talk calmly…
Unfortunately, this was not a good sign, and the aura around Lex began to glow much more intensely, with a loud cry: - HAAAAAAAAA!!!
- So you don't want to talk, do you? - Gwen asked ruefully. with difficulty defending himself from the aura raging in all directions.
Instead of answering, Lex created a magic disc a couple of times larger than the one he got in the head and threw it at Gwen, who dodged it without any problems, which she regretted when she saw that the disc hit exactly the mountain at the foot which now were Tetrax, Gluto, and Azmuth.
Fortunately, petorosaipen took care of the protection and created a crystal dome around it, which protected all the aliens from the collapse caused by Lex's disk. Before Gwen could breathe a sigh of relief, a dozen new disks flew into her, which were even larger than the previous ones.
Remembering her mistake, this time Gwen counterattacked and destroyed all the disks using her own, while slowly flying higher to prevent a repeat of the previous situation and to protect all witnesses of the subsequent disassembly.
Lex followed Gwen and continued to attack her more and more fiercely, because of which Gwen no longer had time to counterattack, and she had to dodge and fly away from Lex, which eventually led to a kind of race in the upper atmosphere.
But along the way, several more robots were destroyed, which seemed to have finally dried up, but this did not make the load on Gwen less, and it became more and more difficult for her to avoid Lex's attacks because he dispersed again and now his goal is Gwen, which he wanted to shoot down.
For driven by animal instincts guy, it became a game he wanted to win at all costs, and soon he was again using different weapons, which, flying at maximum speed, became increasingly difficult for Gwen to dodge.
As a result, she had to switch to protective constructs, which did not help much, and collapsed after a couple of hits, but that was all that saved her.
In response to the various barriers that protected Gwen from the magical bullets fired from his machine gun, Lex released even more mana, and soon even a single bullet was able to destroy Gwen's shields, making it impossible to dodge.
As a result, this led to the fact that the girl was nevertheless hit, because of which her flight course went astray, and she flew into a rock at great speed, which could not withstand such bullying, and fell right on the girl.
Gwen, made up of mana, did not care about such damage, but this led to the fact that she did not have time to get out of the rubble, and Lex caught up with her. Like a cat catching its mouse, Lex grabbed Gwen tightly and pinned her to the ground, not letting her move, looking at her with a creepy smile on his energetic face.
But at least his mood had changed for the better and now he was not in a crazy rage, but in a crazy passion, irritated by a game of cat and mouse. Realizing this, Gwen did not try to escape from his grip and even sighed with relief when she realized that Lex was not going to attack her anymore and, on the contrary, let her get so close to him that even his aura did not react to the girl.
Initially, Gwen wanted to achieve exactly this, although everything did not go according to plan. Still, it was difficult to call it a plan, because Gwen acted more at random and improvised, but most importantly, she achieved her goal.
And now it remains only to reason with Lex, which is now much easier to do when Gwen can use her most important advantage.
Using her magical hair, Gwen slammed it into Lex's arms and pulled herself out of his grip, so that she tightly grabs the guy, at the same time wrapping her hair around him so that he does not run away.
And before the guy had time to come to his senses and start trying to break free, Gwen grabbed his head with a new pair of hands made of magic and passionately kissed the guy on the lips.
As silly as it sounds, love is indeed a great power, and given the whole situation, the only thing left for Gwen to do was use it and kiss all her feelings, hoping it would clear Lex's head and come to his senses. Well, and more lust, of course, where without it, they are teenagers...
Clearly not expecting such a sneaky move, Lex was taken aback, but he certainly didn't mind and was soon drawn in, answering the kiss with the same passion, which quickly began to become more and more intense.
- Ah! Come to your senses, Lex! - groaning, said Gwen, pulling away from Lex and looking hopefully into his eyes, which began to acquire meaning again.
- Gwen... - Lex said with difficulty, whose aura faded and mana stopped flowing out of him.
Seeing that the method began to work, Gwen even more furiously attacked her boyfriend's lips and began to kiss him with all possible passion, to which the guy happily began to respond.
Gradually, the kiss became even more intense and slowly lust and love began to clear the head of the guy, who was completely lost in his problems.
True, a common passion took their place and before Gwen and Lex had time to notice that the guy was already, in general, everything was in order, which they already didn't care about and they completely plunged into the abyss of passion, and what happened was that usually happens in such a situation, so we should leave them alone.
