Andrew POV
Gerald said Nobu, the guy who gets up alive after falling from a building and also being burned alive.
"What's he doing?"
"He has started to make plans to buy out some areas and is also planning to continue what Hiroshi was doing," Gerald said but then he said something that piqued my interest.
"He is also after something called the Black Sky. I don't know what it is and have tasked Zestia to find more information about it."
I did not expect this. I know that Elektra is the Black Sky but other than that there was also a kid that Sticks killed. I think they must be after Elektra. It's October 2005 and if I am not wrong Sticks would have sent Elektra to get Murdock to join the Chaste. That meaning Matt should meet Elektra soon or should have met already.
Gerald saw me thinking.
"You know what it is right?"
I looked at Gerald who had the expression saying, 'He knows everything.'
I chuckled as I told him, "It's a weapon. Not the traditional ones like bombs, swords, or nukes. This weapon is human. Her name is Elektra Natchios, if I am not wrong, she should be in Columbia University after a Blind Man called Matthew Murdock, who is doing his Law Degree."
As I finished saying, Gerald said, "I will look into it and keep track and let you know if something happens."
"Okay, the dinner will be ready in a few minutes, let Zestia take care of it," I told him as Gerald then went back to the base.
Soon we started to have our dinner and it was time for our sleep.
It was late at night and I was in my base when I sensed Claire coming out of the guest room with something in her hand.
I went to the living room sensing her coming down as I still did not want Claire to see my base.
"It's a beautiful night, isn't it? You have such a beautiful view of a lake and the night sky which lightens the lake that it gives out a beautiful feeling." Claire said as she came and stood in front of the Glass Pane Window.
"It is a sight that I see every day and I hope to see all my life," I said.
She then opened her closed right hand. She was holding on to a bracelet.
"I told you I will tell you about my ability that day. It is due to this. This bracelet was passed down in my mother's family."
I took the bracelet in my hand. I did not feel anything and it was just like a bracelet from the olden times.
"It's history?"
"My Ancestors worshipped a Goddess, her name was Oshtur. They call her the Goddess of Balance and Order. She had helped my Ancestor by bestowing this bracelet as she saw the light in her. Since then, this bracelet had been passed down along with the story of how the benevolent God had helped us. Only my Ancestor had the gift to see her no one else after her generation was able to. The Bracelet provides a power based on how the previous generation had lived. The moment the previous generation gives birth, they will lose their ability and will be judged by the Goddess's will in her bracelet. If she has been benevolent, she will live after her childbirth stripped of her powers as it will be passed down to the next and the power that will be bestowed on the next generation will be based on the judgment the Goddess has given to its predecessor."
Claire stopped as she let me digest whatever she has told till now.
I was shocked to know that there exist Gods in the world of MCU. I was focusing on her words on how Oshtur, the Goddess of Order and Balance had given a bracelet with her will and powers in it. Does that mean there are other Gods who have left their will and powers in materials similar to the bracelet? One that comes to my mind will be Bast as I wanted to know about how the Black Panther got his powers after watching the movie, in detail. I calmed down and took a deep breath.
"The powers will be based on judgment. Then what was the ability that your mother had?" I asked her.
"She also had the same ability as mine," Claire said.
"Do you have any idea on what different powers the bracelet can provide?"
"From what I know there was Healing, Truth, Order, Balance, Flight, and many more that are bit obscure for us to understand," Claire said after a few seconds of thinking.
"Hmm… to think there are Gods in this world," I sighed as I could feel what and all troubles will occur in the future.
"Are there more Gods?" I questioned her a bit doubtful.
"I don't know. But it is not impossible after all this is an example for the proof that Gods do exist."
"Did you ask your mother about telling this to me?"
"When I was a child, she had already talked about this. She told me that I can say to the one I trust and one who will be able to keep it a secret." She said as she sat on the sofa.
"Mike?"
She became sad and explained, "It's not that I don't trust him, Andrew, I love him but I need to be sure he can keep this secret. I love how he is, who he is, but I am afraid his carefree personality might be used by others. Since my father has started to train him he said he will decide after a year to let Mike know of this or not."
This made me think. Made me think about whether I want to tell Mike about who I am. Claire continued.
"Will you tell him? Tell him about who you are?"
She asked the question that I was thinking.
"To be frank, I was planning to include him in the organization. Now that your father is training him and most probably, he would want Mike to take his position in the council if he is good or he will make sure that he has a good life with you. I will know the result in a year or two. Whether he can handle it or if he decides against it or he will succumb to its power."
Claire nodded as she heard me.
"Maybe in the future, if he can hold himself and can make the tough decisions, I will take him in."
"Your identity? What about that, will you tell both of them?"
"That is something I have been contemplating a lot. It will be from the results that I get from your father and from Gerald for Ray. I was planning to let them know but it is too much of a risk."
We both were now sitting on the sofa in the living room as we talked.
I sensed Mike waking up and getting out of the bed as he could not find Claire next to him.
"Mike's coming down."
She had question marks on her face for which I just gave a smile.
I hid her bracelet in my pocket and switched on the TV and resumed the movie that was already on.
I have not yet told my friends about Zestia which includes Claire as well.
Claire got up and went to the kitchen to get a drink.
Mike soon entered the living room.
"Andrew, did you see Claire?"
I pointed at the kitchen as Claire was getting a drink.
"Claire, what happened?"
Claire looked up from the fridge. "Could not sleep and decided to come down for a drink. You want one?" She asked Mike.
"Fine," Mike turned to me and asked, "Can we watch a Movie bro?"
"What the hell am I doing right now?" I asked him sarcastically.
Mike laughed as he sat down next to me.
"What do you want to watch?" I asked Mike.
"Romance." He uttered with a very low voice.
I gave a deadpanned look at him.
He gave a sorry look and pointed at Claire who had just closed the refrigerator.
I sighed.
I started to move through the list of movies as Claire was coming, she saw the movie Just Friends.
"Let's watch Just Friends, I love that movie."
"You hate that movie," I told her.
"I did, but not now."
"Save my life, she is changing a lot," I prayed to whoever gave me the chance to allow me to transmigrate.
Mike laughed out loud as heard that.
Claire kicked my leg and went and sat beside Mike.
The movie started to play.
As the movie was going on Mike asked me, "Andrew, I got this idea for the phone and I think it will go well but I don't know whether we can create it."
This piqued my interest, Claire's as well.
"What is it?" she asked.
"Well, since we have many applications that provide various features and mainly the Oracle Maps that is being used mostly by all of our users all over the world, I thought what if we could create something that will allow us to know when someone has met with an accident and through that, it can send an alert message to Hospitals and the Police Stations nearby so they can start to act."
I started to think. Well, it's not like I did not think of this. This could be easily done with no issues at all, the only issue is how the Government will try to take over this and that is not something I will take lightly. And bringing this out now will also have a major impact on the world. I will have to do it in a way to slowly take over the tech world.
"That is a great idea."
Mike then continued.
"Not only for accidents, but we can also even go for theft, robberies, and even do medical check-ups through the phone. But I don't know whether we can develop it or not."
I looked at him and said, "It's a great idea. We can implement but we need to do a lot of testing before this can go into the market. The Government will want to involve in this a lot as it will be beneficial for them and we also need to include many failsafe as we don't want it to be misused and mainly not let it fall into the wrong hands." I said after thinking.
"You already have a failsafe in the phone, right? You can just send a Software Patch or a Fix Patch to your phone for an upgrade. Once you complete the development of the feature do the same that you are doing now." Claire said her thoughts.
"It won't be an upgrade like that. We will need to add some detection software and chips to include. So, it will become a huge process and we don't want the size of the phone to increase as well," I said.
The upgrade is going to happen soon as the phone's processor has been changed. The development team has managed to increase its performance to a higher level and after testing and acknowledgment from all the relevant areas, we are going for this upgrade. After I signed the documents today Mike had given the order to open hotspots in areas with a higher population for the next month.
"How much time do you think it will take?" asked Mike.
"I don't know, let the development team know about this, they will be able to give you a good answer. Before doing that ask them to sign an NDA, though I have already made them do that for the phone, it is better to be safe now than be sorry in the future."
"Very well," said Mike.
We then watched the full movie and decide to head back to bed.
I returned the bracelet that Claire had given to me and the moment she took it in her hand she went into a trance.
Mike was about to turn and see Claire, I used my Conqueror's Haki and knocked him out.
A sorry went through my thoughts.
I quickly took him and went to the base.
Gerald who was in the base resting was startled as he saw me carrying Mike. Before he could ask what happened.
"I will explain later."
I returned to the living room and saw Claire, who closed her eyes and started to float in the air.
Alarms started to ring in my mind.
Not even a minute had gone by but I felt years had passed as I started to feel fear as a Golden light started to release from Claire. The pressure that came with it was too high.
Soon it disappeared. Claire who was floating opened her eyes which were full of Golden.
I heard an ethereal voice come out of her.
"Conqueror"
