Percy looked around and set off after Ishigami. He didn't know what he was running for but that didn't matter.
Sasha followed behind slowly so Percy shouted up to Ishigami, "Slow down, she can't keep up."
Ishigami looked back and slowed down his pace. "We have to go. I need to protect the orphanage or else." Ishigami seemed to be desperate so Percy assumed that something serious was happening and he needed to be fast.
He stopped and turned around grabbing Sasha. He slung her over his shoulder and sprinted after Ishigami. "Ahhh let go of me." She shouted. Percy held on since Ishigami was speeding up and he was becoming nervous. If Ishigami, the accomplished trainer and skilled battler was nervous, then so was Percy.
Seconds later Percy heard men shouting and the screeching of some Pokémon. His feet pounded on the dirt road and he put more strength into running. Behind him blue bats rose above shoddy wood buildings and screeched.
A single look behind his shoulder is all it took for him to run as fast as he could. Aura strengthened his muscles and Sasha bounced on his shoulder. When Sasha saw the Zubat and Golbat behind them she urged Percy to speed up. Ishigami suddenly changed directions out of sight of the bats.
They arrived at a small two story house that had bats swarming above it using Supersonic on the windows. Percy threw Sasha off of his shoulders and released Crash and Fúria.
"Crash, use Rock Tomb at range and Ice punch close range, Fúria use your buffing moves and then use Scratch. No mercy." He ordered. His Pokémon immediately started preparing their moves when the Zubat noticed them.
Percy quickly counted the Pokémon and found that 10 Zubat and 2 Golbat were attacking the building. The Golbat seemed to be at Crash's level at most but didn't worry Percy too much. When Ishigami saw the state of the house he became enraged.
He released two Pokémon and dashed forward. A Haunter and Duskull appeared at his side and quickly prepared moves and sent them after the bats. Ishigami gritted his teeth and two ghost like arms came out of his back.
The purple and slightly see through arms grew larger and larger until they became the size of Ishigami. Purple astral like essence connected the arms to Ishigamis back and pulsed.
The forearms were significantly smaller than the flexing hands that floated above Ishigamis head. Percy looked at the sight in confusion but he had bigger things to attend to. One of the Zubat broke a window and flew into the house where Percy could hear the screams of children.
The rest of the Pokémon confronted Percy and Ishigami their mouths wide and preparing moves. Supersonic rang out from about half of them and the rest of their fangs glowed purple. The wave of sound hit Percy like a truck causing him to stumble back covering his ears.
Ishigami however raised one of his arms covering his body with the large purple see through hand. The hand rippled but Ishigami seemed relatively unaffected by the sound. Percys head rang but he pushed through the pain and trudged through the sound waves.
Crash had finished preparing a move and sent a bunch of rocks flying toward the bats. The bats scattered and Percy was free from the pain for a brief second.
Fúria was still buffing herself and Crash trudged forward ready to attack the bats. Ishigamis Haunter sent a Shadow Ball at the bats, specifically the Golbats, and the Duskull used Taunt attracting the attention of all the bats. Ishigami had gotten close to some of the Zubats and he took action. His ethereal arms outstretched and caught a Zubat each in its large palms.
The hands clenched hard and Percy could hear the Zubat screeching in pain and terror. The hands squeezed tighter and tighter until bones cracked and blood spilled. Crumpled bodies of Zubats fell to the ground splattering blood on the ground. Ishigamis face was intense and his muscles tensed beneath his large black shirt.
His hands held out in front of him controlling the astral arms in some way. Percy chose to talk about this later and not get stuck up on it. Percy looked at the window of the second floor where the Zubat had entered.
Seconds later screaming came as Percy saw the Zubat dragging a small child out of the window with its mouth. Ishigami saw the action but was up to his neck in Zubats and Golbats. Percy burst into action and dashed toward the house.
The child seemed to be about 3 and was crying and struggling in the Zubats jaws. The Zubat attempted to fly away with the child but was struggling and moving extremely slow barely making any progress in the air. Several Zubat flew toward Percy and his Pokémon their fangs glowing purple.
Percy quickly ducked the bats and ran toward the house. His blood pumped intensely in his body as his aura strengthened muscles and organs. Percy left his Pokémon to tend to themselves and started to jump. He powered his jump and jumped straight to the second floor window.
His feet landed on the wooden windowsill and the house shook from the impact. He fixed his balance and prepared for his next jump. The Zubat hurriedly struggled to fly away with the child in its mouth but was too slow to make any good distance.
Percys muscles coiled beneath him and his legs exploded off of the windowsill. Broken glass followed his jump as he soared in the air his arms outstretched to catch the Zubat. His jump was enough for him to smack the Zubat in the air causing it to release the child.
Percy quickly grabbed the child and hid them in his body. His hand covered the back of their head and their head was in Percys chest. He curled into a ball and prepared to make contact with the ground. The fall felt longer than it should've been and Percy had time to think while falling.
His back made contact with hard dirt and his body came to a rolling stop. The child shook in his arms and cried into Percys chest. Percy checked the child and himself for injuries and was pleased to find only a couple of scratches on the kid from being grabbed by the Zubat.
Percy only had some painful bruises and scratches that would hurt later but his adrenaline kept him from feeling any real pain. He carried the child quickly away from the house but the Zubat chased after him. He sprinted back to Crash and dove out of the way avoiding a lunge from the Zubat. Crash followed up with a strong Ice Punch to the bats face knocking it out in one swift motion.
Ishigami went berserk on the Zubats after seeing Percy save the child. His purple ethereal arms swung around slapping and punching bats. Now only one Golbat and 2 Zubat remained and were very occupied. Percy didn't really know how to interact with children since he never picked it up during his time outside of the house he was raised in.
So he just let the kid cry and rub snot all over his purple Ekans shirt. Soon enough the rest of the bats were handled and Percy could take a second to himself. Immediately Ishigami rushed to Percy who handed the child over.
He gently cradled the child while quickly entering the small wooden house. Sasha watched the spectacle from around a corner. Percy stood up and surveyed his surroundings. There were at least a hundred Zubat terrorizing other houses and people from what he could see.
His face dropped as he saw a woman get her head cut off by a wing attack from a Golbat. Men yelled and a disorganized group of people tried to mount some organized attack against the Zubat and Golbat.
Fortunately Percy couldn't see a single Crobat since he was sure he would lose to one no matter what. Screams pierced the air and bats swarmed around unready individuals with no Pokémon. Percy looked down the dirt road to see 3 adults running down the road with Pokémon.
Two of them seemed to be in some sort of mining attires and the other was dressed in trainer gear. The woman seemed to be 25ish and was relatively old for a trainer. A nearby Zubat was harassing an old man and the adults released their Pokémon.
A Parasect, a Graveler, and a Rhyhorn appeared next to them and attacked the Zubat. The Zubat was quickly defeated and the people moved on to attack the Golbat that had just killed a woman. All of their attention went into attacking the Golbat so they never noticed that another Golbat was silently diving at them.
Just as the Golbat was about to kill one of the miners with its wing a jet of hot water pushed it back. The Golbat looked at Crash and screeched it's wings glowing white. "Aright Crash, let's do work. Furia Double Team let's go." Percy ordered. He felt the Golbat was a little bit stronger than Crash so he was taking things seriously.
Fúria was buffed to the max and several clones stood around Percy. A Golbat was a relatively fast Pokémon and Percy wasn't sure he could hold it off for long. Percy pulled his hatchet from his belt and held it ready for combat.
The Golbats wings glowed and it flew quickly at Percy and company. Suddenly something came to his mind and he quickly recalled Fúria. He suddenly remembered that Golbats use echolocation to navigate and using Double Team would be plain useless.
Just as Percy had predicted the Golbat attacked where Fúria stood only seconds later. Now that he had recalled her all of the strengthening moves she had gone away and she wouldn't stand a chance against the Golbat. Fighting types can't do much against flying types so Percy didn't want her to be defeated.
The Golbat screeched in anger when it missed Fùria and struck out at Crash. Crash took the hit from the bats wings and retaliated with his mouth frozen and mist dripping from his jaws. His maw clamped over the purple wing and sunk into the tender flesh. "Rip it up!" Percy yelled.
Crash growled his understanding and spun around in circles tearing at the wing. The Golbat screeched in pain and prepared a move while it's wing got torn up. Purple poisonous goo excreted from its body smashing into Crash's face. Crash let go involuntarily and stumbled back wiping at his face with his claws. "Water Gun to clean yourself." Percy ordered.
Crash spout a stream of water washing the poison off his eyes and nose. While he was doing that the Golbat retreated and used a move from a distance. It seemed it had developed a fear of being close to Crash. Purple needles shot from its mouth striking Crash in the stomach causing him to stumble back.
A purple hue appeared on his face and Percy knew that Crash had been poisoned. 'Dammit, I gotta end this fight fast.' Out of no where a large boulder came flying out of nowhere and smacked into the Golbat. The Golbat fell from the air hitting the ground motionless. It was already struggling to fly due to the mauled wing and the boulder finished the job.
It lay on the ground motionless and it's wing bled terribly. "Hey kid!" Percy turned to see who called and saw the 3 adults with their Pokémon standing next to an unconscious Golbat. The trainer lady called out to Percy, "Are you okay? Thanks for helping us out there." Percy only nodded and turned to check on the house Ishigami had gone into.
He had Crash use Rest and checked inside the house while he was asleep. The house looked to be made out of fresh timber and looked rather non modern. No paint or extra things decorated the house and it seemed bare. Although most of, if not all of, the houses in the town looked like that.
He peeked his head through the door and called out. "Ishigami!" He looked inside the house and found only a large table and an empty floor at first glance. "Yeah." Ishigami peered around a corner to see Percy standing in the doorway. "Is everything all good here, there are people for me to help." Percy asked.
He didn't want to leave Ishigami and potentially risk him to danger. "Yeah everything's all good. Most of the Zubat and Golbat know to avoid this house. They only came here cause I wasn't here. I warn you that the raid by the bats will last about an hour longer. This one seems much worse than before so be careful. I have to stay here and protect the kids so be safe."
Ishigami waved to Percy goodbye and returned to whatever business he was doing. Percy nodded and left the house. As he was jogging away to help people he noticed some of the bats getting up from being knocked unconscious. The Zubats Ishigami had crushed remain motionless.
Crash had awoken and knocked them out with a little knock on the head. Percy tossed pokeballs at the ones that were alive and collected them. He continued to do the same thing with random unconscious bats he found. A minute later he found the 3 adults he had seen before fighting with someone new.
A stall of berries that was already disheveled and of poor quality was being attacked when they stepped in. The new woman seemed to be a miner and she had a Diglett at her side throwing rocks at about 15 Zubat and 3 Golbat.
Their Pokémon seemed tired but their super effective moves still knocked the bats out in one or two moves. The Rhyhorn seemed particularly strong when compared to the others. It's movements where clunky and slow and it took whatever hit was coming without even trying to dodge it but its attacks held a real punch.
Percy pointed Crash at the bats and said, "Use Scary Face." None of the Golbats seemed out of Crash's league and his speed reduction would be effective enough. The reason Percy didn't want Crash using Rock Tomb was that he knew that Crash was pretty bad with the move which made him bad at controlling it. The last thing Percy wants is to damage something in the background because of Crash.
So assisting the rock and ground types became clear. Crash repeatedly used Scary Face and the bats knew it but were caught up in the very dangerous attacks the Rhyhorn and Graveler used. The Parasect used moves that would stun or paralyze the bats and was actually successful with 4 of the Zubats.
Since Zubat and Golbat are fast Pokémon reducing their speed took away a lot of their strength. After Crash used Scary Face as much as he could he used Scald and tried to limit the movements of the bats with Percys guidance. A couple minutes later the Zubats and Golbats had been entirely captured.
The adults had noticed Percy but focused on the battle. They approached Percy since they were about to move on to the next group of Zubats. "It's you again kid. What are you trying to do out here." The man with the Rhyhorn said. "Helping out." Percy shrugged. The man stared suspiciously at Percy before taking a knee on the ground.
He checked his Rhyhorn for injuries. Percy noticed that the Rhyhorn and the other Pokémon breathed heavily from overexertion. Percy pulled 4 energy powder from his Pokédex and held it out to the man. The man eyed Percy suspiciously, "Just take it. There's still plenty of them in the town, we have to go."
One of the other miners laid a hand on the mans shoulder. The man grunted and grabbed the Energy Powder from Percys hand and they fed it to their Pokémon. Almost immediately after feeding it to them the 4 adults jogged away with their Pokémon to another location. Percy followed behind at a light jog with occasional uncomfortable glances being sent at him.
AN: honestly I've been rereading what I wrote like months ago and all of this is so bad. I'm gonna use this app as a place to just publish and post my practice writing stuff. So excuse poor grammar and spelling.
