Chapter 8: Outside the Walls (2)
"Alright, where do you want to go to get your Pokémon. There is a forest west from us, plains straight ahead and mountains to the east. So which one will you go to?" said the trainer.
"Can we please go to the forest?" said John
'That's were the Pokémon I want are and also would have a higher concentration of them due to the food.' thought John.
"The forest is one of the most dangerous places but sure. We will not be going too deep into it and we will be out here for a maximum of 3 days. So be prepared to stay focused."
As soon as they finished talking they started to walk towards the west. Along the way they saw many kinds of Pokémon. Though most of them were small types such as Caterpie and Spearow. When John used appraisal on them, they were the same as the ones provided for the children. They were stageless and had red potential.
Though John knew that if he caught a Pokémon that their potential would be upgraded, he didn't want to waste one of the 3 Pokéballs provided by the city on something he wont even use. He didn't even know how much his space would upgrade their potential. So he just left them and followed the trainer towards the forest.
"Um trainer Sir?"
"Yes?"
"What's your name? we are going to be spending 3 days together outside the city walls and yet I still don't know your name!"
"Its Christopher but everyone calls me Chris, I hate the name Christopher."
"Chris is a good name. Anyway nice to meet you Chris. I will be putting my life in your hands for the next 3 days."
"Don't worry I will protect you if you listen to my every command."
"Sure"

About 1 hour of walking later

In the distance while looking straight ahead, you would be able to see a forest. Along the way Chris and John had seen many Pokémon and Chris had had to fight around 5 Pokémon. Chris had a team of 4 Pokémon, a Fearow, Butterfree, Gogoat and a Weepinbell.
After they reached the outskirts of the forest they started to search for Pokémon. After about 5 minutes of searching they found 4 kinds of pokemon, a Bellsprout with red potential, a Oddish with red potential, a Budew with red potential and a Foongus with orange potential.
"Are any of these Pokémon satisfactory for you?"
"No not yet." said John with a disappointed tone.
"Tomorrow we will search further in the forest to see if we can find anymore."
"Ok"

The next morning

"John its time to wake up, we have to catch you a Pokémon."
"Huum? Ahh! I forgot where I was sorry Chris!."
"Its ok, everyone has done it at least once."
"Oh thank god. So are we searching for my starter Pokémon first?"
"No I said that to make you get up faster. We have to have breakfast first before we do anything."
After than conversation they had breakfast. John grabbed something out of his bag while Chris let out his Pokémon to eat something. Chris put his hand into a small bag on his waist and pulled out a few bags of food for his Pokémon and some rations for himself.
John noticed the whole thing and was shocked.
"What is that!!?" he said while pointing at the small bag.
"Its a space bag. This was a gift from my parents. This is probably the most expensive on the market and has 2m³ of space." Chris said with confidence.
