Chapter 49: A Conversation With a Dragon
"So you finally called, Kurosai" the voice on the line said sarcastically. Percy had to smile at that, he never figured Dragon to have this side to him.
"I had to wait Dragon" Percy said into the den den mushi, "I didn't know if I would be promoted or not, it would seem bad if you promised something that I couldn't provide you know."
"That's true" Dragon admitted, "well, since your here now, what's happening?"
"This got a lot more complicated" Percy explained to Dragon. He started to explain his responsibilities to Dragon, from being a tool for the celestial dragons, to mainly staying in Marineford except commanded to move by either the world nobles or the fleet admiral.
"Hmmm...." Dragon said as he was lost in thought, "so your saying that being an admiral gets you closer to those damn world nobles?"
"Yeah, I even went inside their mansions" Percy stated.
"This can be considered a good thing then."
"How so?"
"Because you can monitor their actions and report back to us" Dragon said as trying to come up with a plan, "In addition, you are able to relay their locations of both the world nobles and cp-0. This can allow us to move unimpeded."
"That may be" Percy said as he too started to think about it, "But, I'm still stuck in Marineford most of the time. My responsibilities right now are mostly monitoring Kaidou and Attun. The Blues are easy to control. I can assign you that task."
"You want me to travel through all the Blues" Dragon asked confusedly.
"You want to gain more supporters right? This will be the perfect opportunity. If you are able to overthrow kingdoms in the shadows, then have your retainers replace them... this will add more firepower to the revolutionary army."
There was a brief pause before Dragon said,
"I already started, I gained my first ally."
"Oh...who is it?"
"His name is Bartholomew Kuma, the king of the Sorbet kingdom"
[Kuma! He already joined?! This is unexpected] Percy thought as he recalled Kuma's relationship with the revolutionary army and subsequently the Shichibukai (7 warlords of the sea).
"Is he strong?" Percy asked as if he didn't know the answer.
"Strong." Dragon said resoundingly. "He ate the paw- paw fruit. He is able to reflect anything he wants. It is a very useful ability."
"That is strong" Percy said approvingly. "Anyone else?"
"For now, no. I have many parties interested, but no absolutes like Kuma."
"One is good for now, but we need more in the future. I believe they will come when you leave to formally form the revolutionary army."
"I think so. I travelled all across the Blues and some of paradise and saw many people angry and fed up with the way the nobles have been treating them. I think all they need is someone to step up for them and they will join our cause."
"We also need to convert people in the Grand line. We need powerful combatants to fight for us. I can't because of my status, but you can. I assume that you are almost at the admiral level as well?"
"...close. My old man said that I need to master at least one of the hakis and work on my devil fruit a little bit more for me to be a full fledged admiral" Dragon replied.
"That's fine, that comes with time. I take it back, I'll assign you to the New world so you can gain some more experience and try to get some powerful New world pirates to support your cause."
"Some of them will try to inform the marines," Dragon started but was cut off by Percy.
"If they try to tell anyone... just kill them. They're pirates. No one cares if one or two disappear. Hell, Kong may actually congratulate you for your hard work HAHAHAHAHA."
"I think you may be correct. I need more powerful allies; send me to the New world" Dragon said decisively.
"Good, head out now. I'll inform Sengoku to expect you in about a week or so."
"Alright, I'll call if anything happens" Dragon said before hanging up.
[It seems like everything is going according to plan] Percy thought as he put his legs on his desk. [Now to relax for a bit before I too head out].

"I need to train" Percy said as he sat in Kong's office.
"For what?" Kong asked confused. "Your plenty strong, unless there is something new you learned, then you can train here."
[How do I explain my new ability?] Percy thought thinking about his new devil fruit. [This will be a little complicated.]
"Remember Yiv?" Percy asked back.
"Of course"
"When we attacked each other at the end, something happened."
"What happened?" Kong asked curiously. He had read no report stating that Percy was still suffering from injuries.
"I absorbed his ability" Percy blurted out, not knowing how else to phrase it.
"What!?" Kong exclaimed as he stood up.
"I have Yiv's ability now" Percy said as he stared into Kong's face. "I can transform into Poseidon."
"Show me" Kong demanded.
Percy didn't argue and started to grow. He was now 16' tall, green scales grew along his arms and legs, and a gold crown appeared on his head.
Kong's mouth was wide open as he saw the transformation.
"Y-you. You have his ability?!"
"I told you, I need to train. I don't know how to control this power yet. Give me a few months and I'll be ready to fulfill my obligations."
Kong was silent as he observed the now transformed Percy. He was thinking about what to do next.
"Okay" Kong finally admitted. "Go, train and come back. When you do, we're going to have a meeting. All of the admiralty will. We need to have a discussion about the growing pirate threats and how to resolve them."
"Alright" Percy said as he turned around and left the room.
[What should I do?] Kong thought as he remembered Percy's transformation. [I can report this now, but that won't do any good. Or, I can wait until Percy captures one of the emperors. What to do, what to do?]

Somewhere out in the New world
"Mamamama. It's been a couple of years Kaidou"
"I haven't heard your annoying voice Linlin. Why have you called me?"
"Have you heard from Shiki?" Bigmom asked as she held the den den mushi in her hand.
"Shiki? Why would I care about that idiot?" Kaidou asked as he started to drink his sake again.
"He never told you?"
"Told me what?"
"The new admiral, Kurosai" Bigmom said into the transponder, "He ate the dark-dark fruit."
Kaidou stopped drinking sake before throwing the gourd on the ground, "What did you say?" he asked.
"Kurosai has the same fruit as Xebec" Bigmom repeated.
"Worororororo, it'll be fun to kill him then" he laughed. "You know I hated the captain, it's just I couldn't kill him. Now, I can get my revenge. I should head out to fight him."
"And attack Marineford?" Bigmom asked.
"Why not?"
"Nothing" Bigmom said with a smile on her face, "Just letting you know" and then she hung up.
Kaidou instantly regretted throwing away his sake, he needed another one.
[Kurosai, huh] he thought as he started to stand up. [Perhaps he will provide me a decent challenge.]
