"Good work both of you." Gojo clapped his hands and said as Maki and Sachiko came out. The barrier was dispelled after Sachiko killed all the curses.
"Thanks, Satoru." Sachiko replied, "Although I killed all the curses, there was no trace of the missing people."
"That's unfortunate." Gojo replied. He seemed to be thinking about something but it was quite hard to tell what he was thinking.
"Well, I'm sure you did what you could. I'll ask Ijichi to look into a few things and keep an eye for anything strange." Gojo said after a while.
"Alright," Sachiko nodded.
"So, how was your group work? I'd say you two make quite the team!" Gojo said, changing the subject.
"Are you kidding? Don't assign me with this idiot again." Maki said, gritting her teeth.
"Bestie, your words really wound me!" Sachiko said dramatically, which made Gojo let out a chuckle in amusement.
"Well, it seems to me that you guys are getting along quite well." He said.
Maki pointed to Sachiko and complained, "Me and her?! Absolutely no way."
"Come on, Maki chan, you have to be nice to your new classmate." Gojo said which made Maki even more mad.
"Don't call me Maki chan, you idiot!"
"Bestie, relax." Sachiko patted Maki's shoulder.
"And, you! Don't call me bestie. I'm not your bestfriend."
"Then, I'll call you Maki chan!" Sachiko announced.
"No, don't call me that either-"
"Alright, it's decided. I'll be calling you Maki chan." Sachiko announced.
Gojo laughed at Sachiko's antics and Maki's annoyance from the side. The way Sachiko was creating chaos and annoying people made her look like she could be a partner in crime, and the idea was really amusing to him.
----------
One hell of a car ride later, they were back at Jujutsu Tech and Gojo absolutely forced Maki to help Sachiko with how their school lessons work and how they do exams and stuff. Maki had the worst time of her life with Sachiko asking her pointless questions and annoyed her with her stupid pranks. On the other hand, Sachiko had the best time annoying Maki and destroying the peaceful vibe of the school.
Sachiko was pretty exhausted after a long day and she was scrolling on her phone when she started to feel hungry. Since she didn't do any grocery shopping, there was no food in her room either.
So, she stepped out of her room and made her way to the shared kitchen to steal some food.
But, she didn't find anything she wanted to eat.
Sachiko was wandering around the school looking for vending machines but then, she caught sight of Gojo who was dressed nicely.
"Oh, Sachiko, what're you doing here?" It seemed that Gojo also saw her. He walked towards her and asked. Now that he wasn't in his uniform, he wasn't wearing the blindfold. Instead, he was wearing the dark sunglasses just like when they first met so she could see his blue eyes very clearly.
"I got hungry so I was looking for food." Sachiko said, "I thought there'd be more vending machines coz we don't have any convenience stores nearby.."
"Yeah, unfortunately we don't have many vending machines for snacks and sweets." Gojo shook his head in disappointment.
"Unfortunate, indeed. I'm hungry." Sachiko almost pouted.
Gojo chuckled, "Why don't you go and wake Maki up? I'm pretty sure she has snacks."
Sachiko shook her head, "Already tried that. But she closed the door in my face."
"Ouch." Gojo rubbed his head as if he was the one to get the door closed in his face.
"Anyway, enough of me." Sachiko said, suspiciously looking at Gojo up and down. "Why're you dressed nicely?"
"I always dress nicely." Gojo replied, "To match my goodlooking face."
"...." Sachiko was speechless at his reaction at first. Then, she thought of a possibility, "No way. Are you going on a date?!"
Sachiko didn't know why she didn't really want him to deny that possibility. But then, she realized it was already close to midnight. Why would he even go on a date at this time?
"Kind of." Gojo shrugged. He then looked at the brief surprise and realization flashed through Sachiko's face.
"What kind of date do you even go at midnight- oh...umm..nevermind..." Sachiko felt like hitting her head on the nearby repeatedly because of the awkward situation. What was she supposed to even continue at this point?
Gojo chuckled, "You wanna go to a convenience store? I can drop you off there if you want."
"What about your date? Won't you be like late?.." Sachiko asked although she was internally wishing to every god of every possible religion for this man to be late and miss his so-called date. She hadn't even dated yet and some people could already go on dates so casually? It was unacceptable.
Gojo shrugged, "I'm already late and I need to stop by a convenience store anyway."
"Oh.." Sachiko nodded her head, "Then, please. I'm really starving."
Gojo laughed, "Alright, but you're gonna have to come back by yourself."
"That's not a problem, I think?" Sachiko agreed.
"Alright then, follow me." Gojo said and led her to where he parked his car.
As Sachiko sat in the front seat, she noticed that the car was pretty nice inside as well. She knew Gojo would be the type to have an expensive taste but she was still surprised by what she saw.
Gojo had an amused look on his face as he watched Sachiko's reactions and he even teased her a few times so that she would get more flustered.
Sachiko couldn't help but took a few glances at Gojo who was driving and of course, Gojo noticed that. He had an amused smile the whole time.
--------
"Well, we're here." Gojo said as he parked the car in the parking lot of the convenience store.
"Okay, thanks, Satoru.." Sachiko said, before getting out of the car.
"No worries, sweetcheeks. Just don't forget to go back to your dorms after buying food, okay?" Gojo said teasingly.
"Why're you talking in that tone like I'd go disappear on a date or at a party?" Sachiko complained, which made Gojo laugh.
"Well, I didn't mean it like that. But.." Gojo looked at her in the eyes and continued with a light teasing voice, "Were you planning to?"
"Nah, isn't it illegal to drink before 20?" Sachiko replied as if she was a goody two shoes.
Gojo looked unimpressed, "Yep, but I also know how you broke the laws left and right."
"And I know it's wrong now?" Sachiko said, despite clearly not looking like it.
"Oh, you do? That's good to hear!" Gojo hummed, deciding not to call her out. "It'd be troublesome if you were planning to sneak alcohol in. But anyways, have fun shopping food. I gotta go."
"Yeah, whatever." Sachiko said quickly. She didn't even know why she became that flustered when Satoru messed with her, honestly. She now knew that man was a playboy who probably had commitment issues, if that wasn't clear to her before, so why was she even feeling flustered at this man messing with her?
Sachiko shook her head.
After buying all the snacks and food she wanted, Sachiko decided to go back to back to the dorms. It was a long ride back and the taxi ride was going to be by no means cheap so Sachiko did the next best thing.
She didn't exactly steal a car but she borrowed one from a guy who was "coincidentally" had too much drinks and passed out.
--------------
Next day,
Sachiko was in the training grounds watching Maki bully Panda and Inumaki. Maki clicked her tongue annoyingly as Sachiko complained about the day being boring.
"If your day's not hell already, do you want to join them?" Maki asked, pointing to Panda and Inumaki.
Sachiko took a glance at the duo and shook her head, "Eh, I'll pass on that."
Maki huffed, but didn't push her further. "That being said, where did that idiot disappear to? He's supposed to be at school."
Sachiko's eyes lit up as Maki talked, "Oh, you mean Satoru? I saw him last night."
"Last night?"
"Yep, he was dressed real nice and guess what?" Sachiko was ready to spill the tea. Well, if Satoru didn't want anyone to know his business, he should've been more secret. Or on second thought, Sachiko was pretty sure he didn't care what others might think.
That, however, didn't stop the excitement of spilling his tea, so Sachiko continued, "He was going a date!"
"At night?" Panda asked, not really getting why Gojo would do that.
"Yeah it was late, almost like midnight." Sachiko exaggerated a little.
"Why would he even go at that time?" Maki frowned, starting to doubt the reliability of Sachiko's words.
"Well, bestie. You know..." Sachiko started.
"Wait, I think I got it. God, that's disgusting." Maki yelled, "I didn't need to know that!"
"Oops, sorry." Sachiko laughed at Maki's reactions.
"Seriously how did you even..." Maki rubbed her temples.
"Well, I kinda ran into him when he was going out so I asked him why he was dressed nicely and he told me he was going on a date. That's a confirmed fact, alright?!" Sachiko replied, "I even kinda saw him buy some goodies for the date."
"Eww, like I said, I didn't need that information!" Maki was seconds away from physically strangling Sachiko. Then, as if she remembered something, she asked, "Wait, how'd you even see that?"
Sachiko wasn't expecting the question, "Well...that...he kinda took me to the convenience store because I told him I was hungry and wanted to buy snacks."
"...."
"So..you knew what he was up to and still tagged along to that damn store?" Maki looked at her as if she was crazy.
"I mean the car looked pretty clean and it's not like I'm sitting there after the date. Also, it's a free ride." Sachiko said.
"...Yeah, no." Maki shook her head in disgust.
"Come on, bestie. Don't be dramatic." Sachiko said.
"No, I think my reaction's normal. You're just nuts." Maki replied.
"Well, I think everyone's a little crazy in their own way." Sachiko shrugged.
"But I'm normal tho." Panda muttered quietly.
"Oh come on, you're a talking panda!" Sachiko said.
"Umm...I'm a cursed corpse." Panda corrected her.
"Yeah, and that's even more abnormal!" Sachiko said.
"...You're as mean as Maki." Panda said.
"Oi!" Maki clicked her tongue and looked at Panda with a frown. Clearly, the new girl was much worse than her, alright?
"Come on, Maki was beating you up in training earlier. And here, all I said was you aren't normal. How am I as mean as her?" Sachiko said.
"Bonito flakes." Inumaki said in reply but Sachiko couldn't understand what he meant. Maki, on the other hand, understood what he meant and laughed, "He's saying you're kind of worse."
"That's just mean!" Sachiko whined dramatically. "Aren't you guys supposed to welcome me as your new classmate? Why're you guys so mean to me?"
"So you're gonna cry?" Maki asked.
"Do you want me to?"
"Oh yes." Maki replied with a grin. "I could be a lot meaner."
"In that case, I'll pass." Sachiko shrugged, and stopped the pretend tears. There was no way she'd give her the satisfaction of making her cry. Like where was the fun in that?!
"Too bad." Maki said before turning her attention back to Panda and Inumaki. "You two, stop slacking off. We're fighting again."
"Alright, have fun you three!" Sachiko waved them goodbye before getting away from the scene of Maki bullying the unfortunate two in a spar.
Possibly getting beaten up in a spar wasn't on her bucket list today.

AN: So I know it's been months since the last update. Sorry about that, I didn't know how to do the storyline before canon starts and the small detail changes I made from the original (like Sachiko joining a year early)
So, here we go, a bit more slice of life where Sachiko just messes around to buy me more time to figure it out, hopefully.
Also, I wanted to add the detail "Gojo having commitment issues and being quite a playboy" so yeah, I kinda incorporated that in this chapter.
And yes, Sachiko knows the red flags, kind of, so while she's obviously attracted to him, she's not smitten over him or anything like that yet.
And Gojo obviously thinks she's amusing and quite cute when she's flustered so he likes teasing her and stuff like that for now.
So I guess we'll see how their relationship would evolve.
Anyways, hope you had fun reading the chapter :)

Sachiko spent the rest of the day learning more about Jujutsu society and history. It was boring but she kinda wanted to know what she was in for the next few years.
As she read a few books at the library, Sachiko realized there were a lot of details that sounded familiar to her, as if she had once known these all before forgetting them.
"Hmm...what a strange feeling..." She muttered.
Maybe she was thinking too much on things.
Why would she know those details about Jujutsu society when she had never interacted with any Jujutsu sorcerer before she came here?
But then....how did she know about cursed techniques and curse related stuff?
Sachiko tried to think but the more she thought, the more she realized that she couldn't remember it quite well.
All she could recall was that she had always known about curses and cursed techniques stuff.
Nothing more. Nothing less.
But, the realization made her a little uneasy.
Was she losing a portion of her memory?
If so, when did it happen?
Just when Sachiko was lost in her thoughts, her phone ringtone brought her back to reality.
Looking at the caller ID, Sachiko saw that it was her mom calling so she quickly picked up the call.
"Hi, mom.."
"Oh, finally...I was so worried about you. You haven't called for a while.." Misaki's worried voice was apparent on the phone and Sachiko felt a little bad as she realized she had completely forgotten to call her mom and give her updates about her new situation. Before coming Jujutsu tech, she lied about getting a job and working at a bakery but now, she wasn't against telling her that she was in Tokyo.
"Sorry, mom. I recently moved to Tokyo so I was really busy and couldn't call you." She said.
"Wait, you moved to Tokyo? Is everything okay?" Misaki was surprised, a little shocked even.
"Yeah, I'm now in Tokyo, ...kind of joining a school where I can work, earn some money and study at the same time." Sachiko decided to not get into details about Jujutsu business for now. Maybe one day, she could but that time was definitely not right now.
It would be safer for her mom to not know, it was safer for Yumi to not meet up with her, that was what Sachiko believed ever since the incident with the curse user in Sendai.
That was why she had never visited Yumi in Kyoto after she left and why she never really went home once.
"That's great to hear." Misaki said on the other side of the phone, not knowing Sachiko's thoughts. "Would you be able to come home this new year holidays? It's been three years since you've been home and honestly, ...I miss you a lot, sweetie."
"...I miss you a lot too, mom." Sachiko admitted. "I'll see if I can make it, okay?"
"Alright, I'll call Yumi and ask her to come too. Last time I called her, she was pretty upset that you never visited her in Kyoto." Misaki said with a laugh, her anxiousness and worry still quite apparent but she was trying to not sound too heavy on the phone.
"Yeah, I guess that's fair." Sachiko replied, laughing a little.
Maybe...she could go back this new year for a family reunion to see her family.
-----------------
Later that evening, Sachiko ran into Gojo who was in his casual clothes again.
"Oh, hi." Gojo waved his hand with a smile when he saw Sachiko.
Sachiko looked at him with suspicion and when she saw him wearing his sunglasses instead of the bandages, she asked, "Satoru, are you going on a date again?"
That made Gojo laugh out loud in amusement. He sounded a little indignant as he spoke, "For two nights in a row?! Who do you take me for?"
"A playboy with commitment issues?" Sachiko said.
"Well..." Gojo opened his mouth before closing it again. He chuckled with a shake of his head, "Can't exactly argue with that."
Sachiko laughed, "So, you're not going a date today?"
Gojo shook his head with a laugh, "Nope, I was thinking of just grabbing food and going for a drive."
"Oh."
Gojo looked at Sachiko and asked, "So...since we kept running into each other, how about you join me?"
Sachiko was taken aback by his offer.
"Well...umm..you paying?"
Gojo laughed, "Sure, why not?"
"Okay.." Sachiko replied.
"So, you're in?" Gojo asked, his blue eyes never leaving her hazel ones.
Sachiko looked away before replying, "Sure, it's free food and I get to be away from this boring place."
Gojo chuckled at her calling Tokyo Jujutsu Tech boring, "I like your thinking."
"Thanks, Satoru. Now, lead the way!" Sachiko said.
"Alright, follow me." Gojo said, before leading her to his car.
"Wait, tell me you at least got the car cleaned after your..you know..date?" Sachiko said before she could step into the car.
"What do you think?" Gojo asked.
"Well, I sure hope you did." Sachiko replied, making Gojo smile.
"Don't worry, I'm not that filthy." Gojo said. "Come on in."
He invited Sachiko to sit in the front passenger seat.
Sachiko nodded, a little flustered at the close distance between them. It was probably a bad idea to join him but she found that she didn't really care much at this moment.
Gojo watched as she buckled up her seatbelt before stepping on the lever to start the car.
"So, where exactly are we going to get food?" Sachiko asked, trying her best to not keep staring at Gojo.
"Hm, maybe something sweet." Gojo replied.
"You mean like dessert?"
"Yep." Gojo laughed as he saw Sachiko made a bewildered face.
"What's with your obsession with sweets?"
"It keeps my brain active." Gojo shrugged, "Also sweets are delicious!"
"Yeah but it also gives you diabetes." Sachiko said.
"Aww, you're scared?"
"I'm not. You should be." Sachiko crossed her arms, "I'm not the one who's obsessed with sweets."
"Nah, I'm good." Gojo replied.
"Well, suit yourself I guess." Sachiko muttered and looked out of the window. Now that Gojo had started driving, the car moved steadily through the roads.
"Alright, I'm driving to my favorite cafe." Gojo said, "You can grab something lese sweet if you want but my recommendation is of course, the macarons."
"Okay," Sachiko nodded.
The car ride wasn't that long and soon, they were at the cafe. It was like a cutesy cafe with cartoony stuff, cute characters and desserts made into extremely cute styles.
"I didn't know you're into that kind of cutesy stuff." Sachiko muttered.
Gojo laughed, "So, what did you think I was into?"
Sachiko shrugged, "I don't know. Maybe like girls, alcohol and intimidating people?"
Gojo chuckled, "I'd say you were only right about 60%. I don't do alcohol."
"Why not? Is it like the taste or you can't drink?" Sachiko asked. She wasn't surprised about him not denying the fact that he was a playboy or that he liked to intimidate people at times. But not drinking alcohol? She was almost shocked!
"Do you even know what alcohol tastes like?" Gojo asked.
Sachiko nodded quickly, "Obviously!..." and then she realized, "I mean obviously not? since that's like illegal for under 20, right?"
"Absolutely! So, you weren't drinking illegally too? I'd thought you were by the way you're acting." Gojo said, but Sachiko could sense that he had seen through her.
"Right, why don't we just go into the cafe and discuss about alcohol which I can't obviously drink!" Sachiko quickly recovered, making Gojo laugh.
"Sure, sweetcheeks." Gojo said with a grin, "Whatever you say."
-------------
"Now..any news on her? She'd disspeared in Sendai for over two years." Geto said, his voice irritated.
"It was like she vanished into thin air...Also, with Gojo Satoru personally visiting Sendai and keeping things under wrap about that big commotion there, I'm afraid.."
"You're suggesting Satoru killed her? She only went to Sendai to pick up a curse. She wouldn't engage in a fight with him." Geto said, displeased but also a bit worried since his efforts to find her for the past two years had been failing. Deep down, he knew she could have been dead. It was just that he found it a little strange that Satoru would keep Sendai incident under a wrap and even kill his family, the one who was picking up a powerful curse he'd been eyeing for.
Did Satoru know what he was planning and killed her as a warning? A thought crossed his mind and Geto felt uneasy.
It was time he moved personally.
