Chapter 36: Wait

Stephen walked into the Laurant library with a grin on his face and a notepad in his hand. He had texted Remedio to gather everyone on the Council and Indigo and Jaspar. He had news to share.

“Well, we are learning a lot about our past. Myths seem to be disguising the truth right in front of us.” Stephen moved to sit in a chair reserved for him. He took an offered drink.

“You found something.” Remedio didn’t ask. He knew from the way Stephen spoke.

Stephen nodded. “First I had to start with all myths and stories are truths, not just based on truths. They are actual truths. I think we wanted to see them as only stories because it is impossible, right?”

Several around the room nodded. Stephen took another drink and sat the glass on the table next to him.

“The hotline is real. It’s so simple that you’ll be kicking yourself for not realizing it any sooner.” He paused and looked around dramatically.
