Chapter 30: Heartbreak

I think it was then that I fully realized how much Mark loved it. Marketing was something that always called to him, but when he moved to the internet section of the company he worked in, his mind exploded into so many ideas and plans. It was like a part of him had come alive, but no one had listened to him. That was why he was wanting to strike on his own with Greg. He had a passion, and I had tried to throw cold water on it.

“What is wrong? You have shadows over your face.”

I swore he was the most perceptive person I had ever met. “He called me earlier today and told me about an opportunity he had to achieve a dream of his.”

“What would that be?”

“A man he used to work with and he decided to start their own online marketing business. They both have had ideas over the years that their bosses have refused to listen to. Others grabbed some and ran off with them showing quite a bit of success. They finally decided to take a chance.”
