Chapter 86: Chapter 86 - Real Operation Revenge
Sasuke woke up, still feeling very drained and tired, his eyes empty, like he lost his reason to live, then he noticed that all his injuries were healed, and at that moment he heard Ren's voice "You are finally awake, how do you feel?"
But Sasuke wasn't responding, so Ren went on "Well, for now just listen, I have something to tell you, it is about Itachi", and hearing the name caused a reaction in Sasuke, as his eyes lazily focused on Ren's figure.
"You know so much about your brother, and at the same time you know nothing...all Itachi did was to protect you" hearing that Sasuke opened his eyes wide and said "Pr..Protect me...you keep fucking with me and I'll kill you..."
And Ren "How scary...but jokes aside, I think you need to know the truth..." and Sasuke screamed "Enough! I don't care anymore! Go away and never come near me again!", but Ren continues "I think you need...no you have to listen to me, it's your mission, your duty, to know everything about him...this man who risked everything to protect the ninja world, Konoha and more important to him, his little brother, and those who used and tricked him for their own gain...".
And Sasuke "What are you..saying?, Protect...me? Protect me? The truth?" and Ren continues "Think slowly and carefully at everything you know about Itachi...remember your loving older brother..." and listening to Ren's words, Sasuke remembered all his happy memories with Itachi, but the reality contrasted with them,and he was near having a panic attack "He...he tried to kill me....to steal my eyes..." and Ren "Nope...that was an illusion I made...in fact Itachi is still very alive..."
And Sasuke was totally shocked by the new information so much that he also unknowingly activated his Sharingan and, even more, the three tomoe started rotating and then took the appearance of three intersecting ellipses, becoming a Mangekyo Sharingan.
Then Sasuke turns to Ren and scream "WHAT DO YOU MEAN?!? HE IS STILL ALIVE!??", and Ren still calm, says "Itachi's initial plan was to totally sacrifice himself, for helping you grow stronger...the illusion I made you live was his initial plan...to fight you...push you to your limit...and then die by your hand to atone for all his mistakes...then make you turn back to Konoha as the hero who avenged his clan and killed one of the most dangerous missing nin of Konoha...while the real culprit behind everything still enjoy his life...talk about bad decision making...but that is one of the Uchiha main charateristic...luckily for both of you, I found out the truth and decidet to help you"
And Sasuke once again "NONSENSE!" then Ren explained to Sasuke everything about Itachi, about Danzo manipulation of events for his own gains, about the masked man that calls himself Madara Uchiha, who first attacking the village with the Kyubi and sowed more discord between the Uchiha Clan and the village, then helped Itachi in exterminating the whole clan to weaken Konoha even more, all while the one that took the fall for it was Itachi, who was led to believie that was the only way to protect Sasuke, his most important person, Ren even told him about Itachi joining the Akatsuki to keep an eye on them, and also about the fact that he showed up as soon as he heard that Hiruzen died, to show Danzo that he was still "alive" to protect Sasuke against him, then he told Sasuke that Itachi is also a member of Baransa and that right now he is undercover in the Akatsuki, and that behind Akatsuki was the masked man and while explaining everything he showed the proof, in particular the photo of Danzo's arm, and one of his favorite on the wall of shame...the Itachi's rainbow.
Taking in everything and remembering all the happy memories with Itachi, Sasuke started crying, then he said "I'll kill everyone who wronged you, Danzo, Madara and crush Konoha for what..." but before he could continue, Ren chopped hard on his head and said "WRONG!! How does your fucking brain work? Your dear brother sacrificed almost everything for Konoha and you want to destroy it!? Isn't it better to just expose and kill Danzo, so you both have a home to return to, and be treated as a hero as you should!?! The fuck!?! Sakura, my sister, is the current Hokage's disciple and she is on your side. Naruto, your best friend that still hasn't given up on you, has got a lot more political power than he even knows of! And more importantly the Hokage herself Tsunade now knows about Danzo's crimes and it is barely waiting for us to deal with him, for what he did to her family....where does crushing Konoha come from!?"
Now holding his head in pain while listening to Ren, he thought 'Yeah...why did I want to destroy Konoha? it is Danzo and the masked man's fault that me and Itachi had to suffer...and we aren't the only ones...' then he turn to Ren and ask "Now, what is our plan?"
And Ren with a grin "Well first you and Itachi have to meet up and have a little operation..." and Sasuke "What operation?" and Ren replies "Really you Uchihas are strong, but your brain's cell are fried by the Sharingan...now that both of you have reached the Mangekyo level, we just have to exhange your eyes to avoid becoming blind...no killing involved...really the fact that you think you have to kill your brother and take his eyes for reaching the Eternal Mangekyo is stupid, why not just willingy exhanging...but I digress after that you both have to rest and get used to your eyes, and after that we will kill Danzo"
Hearing the last bit a evil smile appeared on Sasuke's face but he was chopped once again by Ren, who said "No evil smile, we are the good guys here! Let go and meet with Itachi" then Sasuke asked "But how did you make that illusion it was so real...I really felt like I fought Itachi"
Then Ren started explaining the origins of his powers, about Zanpakuto, Shinigami and Hollow, especially the fact that they are becoming active once again, and that one of the objectives of Baransa is to take care of them.
Then Sasuke said "So your Zanpakuto has two levels of power, the Shikai and Bankai, and what you used on me is your Bankai ability to turn illusion in reality...do you know how crazy this power is?" and Ren countered "Look who is talking, you got a magical eye that can almost do anything...now stop talking and let's go back to the HQ, I'm sure that Itachi is waiting for you there" and as Ren took out a long piece of cloth, to use the Bakudō #87. Sentan Hakuja (Thousand-Coil White Snake), Sasuke asked "Wait if Itachi is part of Baransa, does it mean that everyone knew about this farce!?" and repling only with a smile Ren activated his Kido and teleported to the HQ.
