Chapter 80: The Devil's Biggest Fan

After Tandy leaves for Kamar-Taj I begin going through all my leftover work for the company. Though I often delegate my work to others I like looking over it every so often. I am a bit surprised to see how much money Jessica's business brings in for the company. The massive companies sure pay a lot for guarantees of their safety against villains.

The strip clubs are also doing well, bringing in even more money than the topless bars. Without Fisk in Hell's kitchen and my men running things, it is a lot safer in those areas. With the areas being safer a lot more business shows up, I'm sure that 'Dare Devil' person is also helping the cause.

While wrapping up business I receive a message from Ruby, 'Is now okay?'

Putting away the papers I quickly replay, 'Yeah', and head out of my office to rest on the couch till they get here.

After only a minute or two I hear the elevator door open, leaning up I smile, "I didn't think you would come alone, Komand'r. Why aren't you with Ruby like usual?"

She rolls her eyes as she sits on the lazyboy, "I'm not a dog, I don't have to follow her everywhere."

Laying back down I smile, "If you don't want me to treat you as one don't act like one."

She scoffs as she leans back, "I just don't like our little mortal friends as much as she does. He is boring and only likes talking about you and stupid sciency shit. He has powers but they are pretty weak and he tries to keep them secret from us. I have tried to get him to come to parties but he always has an excuse."

My brows raise as I stare at the ceiling blankly, "Perhaps to him you are the boring one. Some people don't like parties… I mean I do, but some people don't."

Hearing the elevator coming up again I sit back up, "Maybe you should get into some, 'sciency shit,' could be fun."

Seeing her rolling her eyes I laugh turning back to the elevator; the door opens revealing Ruby along with five other people, one boy and four girls. They all appear to be in their late teens to early twenties.

Ruby smiles seeing me, "Hey 'Dad'."

I shiver at her words, to get her into school we made a new identity for her. On paper she is known as my adoptive daughter that I adopted from abroad.

Putting on a fake smile I step forward, "Hello 'honey', who are your friends."

Before she can say anything the widely smiling boy steps forward and puts out a hand, "Hello Mr. Morningstar sir, I'm a huge fan. My name is Peter, Peter Parker."

Shaking his hand I grin, "I remember you, you were at my last charity event weren't you?"

He gives a sly grin, "So you recognize me? Sorry, I snuck in I just wanted to meet you."

I laugh a bit at his coyness, "It stands out a bit when a child is at a charity event exclusively for millionaires."

His cheeks tinge red a bit, "Let me introduce my girlfriends."

My brows raise as I look at him a bit surprised, "Girlfriends?" My eyes flick to Ruby for confirmation, seeing my gaze she gives me a 'yup' nod.

His cheeks blush even more, "This is Mary Watson, Gwen Stacy, Felicia Hardy, and Cindy Moon." I nod impressed with his Harem as each girl is as beautiful as the last.

I am also impressed that two of the girls along with Peter are attached to the Great Weaver. Though on a multiversal level The Weaver is relatively weak on its own it is still a very impressive entity that can rival greater beings like Nightmare.

Recognizing one of the girls names I look at her for a moment, "You wouldn't happen to be related to Walter Hardy would you?"

Her eyes widen as she looks a bit scared, "Y-you know my father?"

I nod, "I saved his life once. When I was younger I was stupid and had dealings with Fisk, I worked with your father for a while. Fisk wanted to use him to blackmail someone but I kept him as one of my men so that couldn't happen. After that he vanished, I don't know where he went. I hope he is doing alright."

Her fear vanishes nearly instantly replaced by a smile, "He is doing fine, he is currently hiding in Russia."

"That's good, I hope he doesn't get involved with any vampires."

My words seem to catch everyone off guard, "What do you mean?" the girl named Cindy asks giving me an odd look.

"It's well known that those who escaped the Hellsing family stay in Siberia. I thought since half of you have powers that you would know, sorry."

The air tenses as the five freeze, without looking I catch a remote thrown at my head, "DIDN'T I TELL YOU THEY WERE KEEPING IT SECRET?!" Blackfire yells standing up from the lazyboy.

I give her an offended look, "It's not like they were trying to hide it, the boy shook my hand with enough force to break a normal man's hand."

Looking back at the boy he is staring at his hand with awe before he looks up at me, "I'm so sorry sir, I didn't realize, are you okay?!"

Seeing his concern I wave him off, "It's quite alright, I've never met a mortal that can harm me."

"What do you mean mortal? Are you saying you're a god?" This time the blonde girl, Gwen speaks up.

"Of course not… You do know my name right?"

"I thought that just like a nickname," this time the redhead, Mary speaks up.

I shake my head, "Been my names since birth at the beginning of time. Well I mean in this life it was Abigor Creed but you know, that was before I got my memories. It's a whole thing, lets just not get into that."

"Wait, you said the vampires stay in Siberia? What part of Siberia?" Noticing the girl is a bit distraught I hold up a hand.

"Don't worry he is an acquaintance of mine as well and seeing as your a friend of my 'daughter' I'll do this for free. Legion, come here a moment."

From my shadow Legion slowly raises from the ground in the form of a blonde woman kneeling with her head bowed, "Yes my lord," their voice echos a thousand times over.

"Go find Mr. Hardy, if the vampires have messed with him be sure to take care of them. Not much reason for them to be around in this day and age anyway."

Her pitch-black eyes open and flick up to me, "What of Morbius."

I roll my eyes at her words, "Don't take my words so literally, of course I don't mean one of my own. Go." Bowing again she fades back into my shadow.

Looking back at the kids I see they are all staring at me with wide eyes, "What? Did you not believe me?" The five shake their head admitting their disbelief.

The boy holds up a hand, "Wait, them what does that make Ruby?"

"Oh don't worry she is my adopted daughter… though that doesn't mean she is weak." Peering over at her on the side I see her giving me a pouting glare, upset I spilled the beans.

"What? You think I shouldn't have told him? The boy is a scion of The Great Weaver, he would have found out eventually."

"HE'S A WHAT?!"

"I'M A WHAT?!"

I look around baffled at the state of the room, I'm curious why Komand'r yelled I'm nearly positive she is clueless in the matter.
