Chapter 554: Icy Luna

"Cole, would you put my daughter down now?" King Davin pinched the bridge of his nose, "You might be taking her away soon but today's not that day."

Cole chuckled at the king's comment and complied.

Before placing her down, he placed a kiss on her lips and whispered through the mind link, "I'll be right by your side the moment you need me."

The princess shivered at the prince's words but ultimately smiled into their kiss, "Don't go far."

With that, she turned her attention on the group that had gathered to welcome her. Many of them were familiar faces and the princess was spoiled for choice.

As her birth parents, Katie's father and mother, King Davin and Queen Martha were the first to welcome their daughter. King Davin abandoned decorum the instant his daughter was within a foot of him and engulfed her in a bear hug.

The queen chuckled as she cozied in as well, "Welcome back, my daughter."
