Chapter 424: I Didn't Do Anything!

Three light knocks came at the door, and knowing it was her father, she pinched between her brows and stood up from the bed. 

She walked towards the door and pushed it open to see Adrik standing at the door with a warm smile on his face and a box of chocolate in his hand. "Laya."

"Dad, please, I really don't want to talk. I am still-"

"Angry." Adrik chuckled softly and walked into the room, then shut the door behind them. 

He grabbed her hand and walked towards the table to sit down. "Laya... I want us to talk," he said to her, and knowing how much she loved Adrik and how much he adored her, she exhaled softly and sat beside him.

"What is it?" she asked, and Adrik handed her the box of chocolate. "First of all, have this. I know you always wanted this particular one, so I got it for you," he explained, and though acting a bit reluctant, she eventually took it from him with a soft smile on her lips. "Thank you."
