Chapter 44: Turned the Tables

Did he do all of this just to prove that he wasn't involved? Why did he care about what she thought? Xu Anran couldn't figure it out, but she was still very grateful for what Jiang Rongyan did for her. 

She supported herself on the bed, sat up straight, and said righteously to Jiang Rongyan, "Thank you for helping me find out the truth and returning my innocence."

Seeing her serious expression, Jiang Rongyan was slightly stunned. Her eyes were stubborn. Although there was still some sadness in them, there was more determination and tenacity in them. Jiang Rongyan's gaze was involuntarily attracted by her lively eyes. He sighed in his heart. He could not understand why he cared so much about how Xu Anran looked at him.

"I don't expect you to thank me either." Jiang Rongyan reached out and touched Xu Anran's head. "I just want you to be more cautious. Your sister will definitely not let this go. You should be more careful during this period of time."
