Chapter 23: War of Nerves

After putting some oil in the pan, Miso noticed Chris coming over to the kitchen and standing next to them. He was observing the pan with them. For some reason, Miso's heart started beating fast. She became more self-conscious about the situation and worried about failing the task.

She came here as she wanted her to make breakfast a secret. But it seems that it won't become much of a secret now with two of the band members together with her.

"Shouldn't you have poured butter instead of oil to cook the pancakes?" asked Chris in a curious tone. "It's a little bit tricky to cook pancakes using oil. Butter is a good option."

Ren decided to ignore Chris's comment as he poured the batter onto the egg frying pan, with four divisions. He was using approximately 1/4 cup for each pancake. He waited for it to turn brown on one side before he started flipping it.
