Chapter 26: Chapter 26

<Shin P.O.V>

*Churn…*

*Squelch…*

*Skqruicch…*

Blood poured into the surrounding water turning it a blood red.

It fell from above… the peak of a large mountain…

But the mountain moved.

It roared in pain while thrashing about with two mighty stones coming to hold its neck.

Before long the mountain had fell limp and crashed back into the blood red ocean sinking to the bottom into the darkness.

While shins body may have evolved many and many times, it only adapted and changed to its surroundings to better survive and live in them.

His body was evolving for the water, not the surface.

Shin had lost a lot of blood from his body that left through his gills as he couldn't breath.

The air wasn't oxygen.

It was so toxic the moment he drew a breath.

It was like millions of tiny bees stinging his lungs all at once making them burn.

The toxic air eventually made its way to his main core system in his body which started to affect his consciousness.

The course of energy throughout his body was going in random directions being affected by this toxic air.

His body couldn't provide enough energy in certain areas, thus knocking him unconscious from the lack of air and blood not being provided.

Shin fell into a deep state of sleep, however only for a little while was he asleep.

Suddenly woken up by the system, shin rubbed his neck feeling the slits leaking out blood.

His gills were slowly healing as well as his body.

'System, why couldn't I breath above the surface?' Shin asked still rubbing his neck.

[Ding! The air is highly corrosive towards certain species for example yours but others thrive on it like a human with oxygen. Your body could not handle the sudden change in atmosphere resulting in you falling unconscious!]

Shin slowly nodded and asked one more question.

'Is there a way to breathe and use that air?'

[Ding! With current abilities it is certainly possible by using your molecule skill, Energy Manipulation Skill, or by choosing a symbiotic evolution similar to that of an amphibian being able to breath in both water and on land!]

Hearing this shin understood what he needed to do as it was pretty simple.

Since he could breathe oxygen like a fish except he needs to take in the water first in order to get it, so he simply needed to evolve himself or to manipulate his body to shift matter and flesh into what he wants.

He was given a lecture on how amphibious animals breath on land and in water or how to switch between them.

Shin ended up creating a perfect system in which he can breath with just using the surrounding energy, not even oxygen was needed or he could use his bodies energy to manipulate his conditions like making one arm stronger then the other for example.

Confident in his work, he climbed back up to the surface still seeing some blood from earlier making him grimace a bit.

His snout touched the line separating the air from water.

Reluctantly, shin pushed forward and held his head high while circulating the energy around his body to breathe normally.

As his upper chest and above was exposed he looked around once more, but this time he wasn't feeling the piercing stings whenever he took a breathe with his mouth, nostrils, or gills.

Shin felt happy at his work and then began to survey his surroundings.

Behind him he was met with the vast ocean with some fish flying out here and there.

But in front of him was what seemed like a Bay Area.

There were what seemed like a few islands making a circle with an opening in which shin came through, while there was a giant piece of land filled with trees reaching massive heights.

Within that area he could sense one of the structures keeping Azazoth bound and he began heading towards it.

Slowly but surely he felt his lower body begin to rise out of the water as he walked in the shallow water.

Before long he reached the main land and stepped onto the beach with a loud stomp startling some nearby birds in the trees making then fly away.

It felt a bit weird at first being out of the water as it felt natural but as he stood there he slowly began to feel the nostalgic feeling of standing up right with the cool breeze rushing over his body as he closed his eyes.

He let out a low rumble meant to be a sign as he felt refreshed just by being here.

Opening his eyes he began to realize just how tall he really was.

The trees were about up to his waste meaning they stood at almost 180 meters or something close to that number.

'I wonder if these are related to redwoods in some way..' Shin thought bending over a bit looking at the tree closer.

It seemed to radiate a type of sweet sent like honey.

Below him, shin could see a small animal that looked like a capybara slowly walk out of the tree shaking in fear.

Earlier it heard a loud rumble, thinking it was an earthquake it stayed inside.

No noise was heard for some time making the tiny animal think everything was safe… oh boy did he have a surprise in store for him.

As it walked out it looked to its left into the forest looking for predators before turning to the right towards the beach and was met with a giant mountain that had just appeared there.

The more it looked at the mountain the more it seemed to be less a mountain and more a living creature.

The capybara met its eyes with shins, one black pupil eye and the other was a blood red eye with a thick black ring surrounding it.

Shin could see some yellow fluid come from under the capybara.

'Oops.. I scared it.'

Shin puffed out some smoke from his nostrils making the frozen in place capybara run away in fear.

Chuckling at the scene, shin then looked beyond the massive tree line trying to look for an opening of sorts but saw nothing.

'I need to continue but I don't wanna hurt any wildlife..' Shin said still looking around.

'P*ssy' Azazoth said in a deep voice making shin frown.

'I'm not! I just like animals you know? I can do this another way.' Shin said before looking into his inventory.

He wasn't sure if he could shrink himself down to a smaller size but he did have many things he could use in his inventory or transformations.

While he did have Evan, Golden Fredbear, and the farmer he wasn't sure if they could exactly defend themselves in a new environment like this.

Also he now remembered that he was strong enough to take on most of the things he wanted to be but first he wanted to try out his inventory items before he gets to power hungry.

Nightmarionette would be a good candidate.. but they were too small and likely a bit too weak depending on what he faced.. hell he didn't even know what it could do besides kill a kid.

The tripod however was a different story.

It could hide under the massive trees while also still being big itself, it had strong weapons that disintegrated almost anything, an energy shield that could withstand pretty much anything, long tentacles to pick up smaller objects and place them in cages that act as a storage unit.

While reading through the information tab about the tripod he found out that it was actually a type of cyborg creature with a brain and organic material within it.

Shin of course watched war of the worlds and knew bacteria could kill them, however the pilots condition affected the tripods and shin could control the tripod without even being inside it.

Making some adjustments here and there to the tripod in the inventory because of this modify option that popped up and below it was the evolution button that required bio-points to evolve further.

Pulling the tripod out of his inventory, shin saw the 45 meter being plop on the ground out of a black hole before the hole disappeared.

The tripod moved its massive head around and looked upwards by bending its three leg like structures backwards in order to do so.

Shin looked the tripod and connected himself to it.

Suddenly, shins sight changed into multiple ones.

The tripod had three massive scanners that acted as eyes and then his regular eyes on his Godzilla body.

It was a bit disorienting at first but he got the hang of it.

He could move himself and the tripod at the same time without much difficulty thanks to his intelligence stats.

Controlling that tripod felt natural as if it was a part of himself like an extra arm or leg which in this case it pretty much was as the tripod was a part of Shin now.

Moving around with the tripod he took a step forward with one of his long metal legs and stepped down on the sand with the three toe like things acting as balancers.

Shin moved his sight towards the forest and began walking forwards almost toppling over accidentally.

Shin looked back at his main body that looked as if it was touching the clouds.

'Should probably hide myself real fast.'

Shin moved his main body back under the water but not to far in case he got attacked.

As shin watched his massive body disappear into the water followed by his spikes like a shark, he nodded to himself before turning back around and moving into the forest.

<10 Minutes later>

So far shin had been walking in between the massive trees barely able to squeeze through but he somehow managed.

There wasn't much difference of this forest and a regular forest back on earth except for the massive trees and the occasional strange creatures that stopped to look at shin.

Moving his massive metallic head was a bit of a challenge as when he tried to look at something it would bump into a tree or scare off an animal or make them feel threatened when his massive lights started to shine in their direction.

He didn't want to hurt anything but when thing started to attack him, is when he would attack back.

A large black bear with red flaring eyes appeared from a giant bush chasing a deer with two massive horns instead of antlers.

The deer suddenly stopped when it saw shins massive robotic self looking at them, causing the bear to slide past the deer into a tree at the deers sudden actions.

Blinking, the deer rushed away as it had time while the bear was trying to get it head out of the tree trunk.

Finally managing to do so, the bear looked around for the deer and saw nothing but a large strange creature watching them.

In defense, the bear stood on its hind legs as an attempt to scare it but that wasn't even close to working.

Shin stared a bit dumbfounded but also a bit of respect at the bears bravery… or stupidity.

Either way, seeing that the large creature wasn't moving and only seemed to look at them, the bear slowly went back on its four limbs and just stared cautiously at shin as well.

The two stared at each other before the bear deemed shin 'not a threat' and slowly turned around leaving the area.

Shin watched the bear stroll away likely to search for its next prey.

'Strange..'

looking away from where the bear went, shin continued focused back onto the direction of the structure that still seemed very distant.

Doing an internal sigh shin moved forward ducking under a large tree branch that almost hit his large metal head.

All the while he was being watched and shin didn't even know it as he continued his path.

The being watching shin was covered in black clothing with some iron weapons with magic imbued into them.

"My liege… I've found a strange beast near the energy spike, What should I do?"

The being sounded female and very young.. likely a girl and was talking to a small blue crystal in her hand.

"Keep your eyes on it and watch its movements.. it may be related in some way to what's happening at the capital." A man said in a deep voice with some strain behind it.

"Yes my lord."

The girl put away the crystal into a ouch in her hip and continued to observe as the creature bumped into a tree slightly making her giggle.

'It sure is clumsy.' The girl thought.

It seemed like hours as shin kept moving but didn't feel very tired from all the walking.

He fought some weird giant squirrel creature that lunged onto his head, but was quickly dealt with, using a laser beam to the head.

Shin received a very small amount of xp but also received something else, a monster core tier 1.

Shin asked the system what monster core tiers were and was told that it basically a hierarchy of monsters with tier 10 being the highest as mythical monsters.

The carcass of the creature was left there to be eaten by the wildlife quickly turning into a skeleton.

Moving forward, the sky turned into night as shins lights flashed through the forest lighting up everything in his direction that he faced.

It was a bit hard to see with things blocking his sight but with his sensors it helped him a bit.

Everything was pretty smooth until he felt something tap his metal head.

The thing that tapped him fell to the ground.

Looking down shin saw what it was that hit him more closely.

An arrow.

To be continued.
