Chapter 91: Wolfsbane

Clary tiredly slumped on her bed, feeling exhausted. She gazed at Leandre's number and threw it on the bed. He asked her to call him, but the thought of becoming close to him was causing her to shudder in fear. Astraea's thoughts lingered in her mind.

"He has a girlfriend." She repeated and made up her mind to stay away from him.

At the other end, Leandre's voice boomed into Ed's ears. "Any information?" 

"I have been undercover at the hotel all day, pretending to be a customer." Ed began. "I managed to get the same room as one of the nine girls we are investigating. I have been discreetly questioning the staff casually without raising any suspicion. But I have hit a dead end until just an hour ago. I ordered dinner to my room, and the servant who brought it let slip that she had seen the girl's driver talking to the receptionist in secret twice."
