Freya's eyes stared at the centre of the Lotus emboss, sweat dripping down her brow.
This was it. She was going to lose face*. After everyone had argued for her, she was not going to reach up to their expectation. She should have left before all this fiasco! Why did she do this!
"Freya! You can do it!" Titus said to her with a grin.
Freya gave him a strained smile and looked at the Thousand Petal Lotus with bloodshot eyes. Could she cry right now? Was that she was allowed to do?

Freya blinked away the tears. 'Can you really help me?'

'That does not mean anything to me at the moment, but I will trust you for now.'
Freya was sceptical about the voice in her head, but there was nothing that she could do to prove or disprove that it was all her imagination without going through with this as well. She hoped that the creature in her head was right and that she would really clear this obstruction, even if she did not really believe in it.

Freya ignored the creature's words and placed her hand on the centre.
The surface under her palm was cool to touch and her heart stopped its incessant beating, calming down.
Freya realised the artificial nature of the calmness of her heart and guessed that there might be runes and ritual circles under the surface of the embossment that had certain psychological effects on the user.
There was a saying that a calm mind reveals the true power of a person's magic. After all, when emotions heightened, there was a chance that your magic would be affected. Every rune inside the Thousand Petals Lotus became to her eyes. She looked at each of them in amazement. There so many that she did not know about, there were connecting of Ritual Circuits that she had never even considered to do, and she felt that would not go together but the new runes connected everything in a way that made it look like interconnected lotus patterns that made a larger Lotus circuit and gave her the illusion of a sense of sustenance.
Freya wished she had a notebook in her hand to note down all the information that was presented before her eyes.

A projection came out of the centre of the Lotus pattern.
Freya's heart reached her throat. This projection only happened when a person had magic and their magic was Manifested!
Her round brown eyes looked on in wonder as a golden blob appeared and turned into an egg.
Freya blinked. It actually took shape! It actually manifested into something! It was an egg and she did not know what it meant to have an egg as one's manifestation but she had a manifestation! That was all she cared about at that moment!
The onlookers were clapping and were talking to each other.
Freya turned to them with a big grin.
"Well done!" Titus said. "What does it mean to have an egg as a manifestation though?"
"There are two reasons!" the tiny plump woman, Ms Aiva said to them excitedly. "One is when the creature of manifestation is one of the legendary creatures!"
Titus looked at Freya in awe. He could not believe that such a powerful woman inadvertently became his friend!
The Principal too looked at her like she was the latest treasure in his horde. And she was in a sense! A Legendary creature!
Freya, unlike the people in front of her who were absorbed in their celebration of having something Legendary in front of them, was more concerned about what Ms Aiva had said.
"What is the other reason for the manifestation?" Freya asked her even as she shook hands with everyone, her mind wondering if having the System might have triggered Magic in her. She imagined herself flying on a golden dragon through the sky! She would look awesome!
"Having no magic at all," Ms Aiva said, "In any case, being a Legendary Human. Someone without an ounce of magic in them. That is an even more of a magical case after all."
Freya let go of Titus's hand in a daze and stared on ahead without seeing anything. She felt as though her heart broke into pieces.
"We must declare this to all the other Academies!" the Principal said to Tressa.
The woman, who was completely against Freya before, was grinning as though she was the one who was declared to have a Legendary Manifestation. She agreed with the Principal and left in a Purple fog.
Freya watched in a daze, not able to bring herself to feel the enthusiasm of seeing the Travelling Fog again.
William, unlike everyone else, was looking at the human in front of him curiously without much outward reaction. He was sure that she was not that powerful. Was he wrong? Perhaps she was able to hide her power level and did not expect that the Thousand Lotus would expose her real power.
He wondered what Legendary creature she was.
If Freya could hear his thought, she would tell him: Legendarily Ordinary human.
