Chapter 409: He Had Work To Do

Once the contract was signed, Drake wanted to get married immediately. If he was going to get that sale stopped, he needed proper incentive. 

He helped Sylvie decide what to pack and took her to pick up her wedding dress since that was what she wanted. He needed to make her less suspicious of him and that seemed like a good place to start. 

She looked absolutely radiant in it. She had chosen well. 

Sylvie was already pretty—he had noticed that yesterday even in her work uniform—but she had done her makeup and hair more nicely when they stopped at the house. It made the gold flecks in her brown eyes pop even from behind her leopard-print cat-eye glasses and her messy mouse brown bob had been tamed into a curly half-up, half-down style.
