Chapter 42: I'm Not Your Master

Erevan came back a while later with a full breakfast platter consisting of pancakes, cut fruit, juice, and bacon. All of that had been done unreasonably fast. Had he used magic for that too?

He sat on his side of the bed cross-legged, giving off the aura of an eager puppy waiting to be praised. It was adorable and Molly couldn't resist leaning over to give him a quick kiss. That seemed to make him happy.

"This looks amazing! Thanks, Erevan," she told him before digging in. A few minutes later, she asked her first question in between bites. "Did you make this with magic?"

"It sped up the process but magic can't do everything," Erevan said almost apologetically.

"What can it do? I've been wondering since last night."
