I woke up a few hours later after using the pocket watch's rewind.
"Ugh... my head hurts like hell..."
I forgot about one of the most crucial things of the rewind. Something that I shouldn't have forgotten at all.
It takes a huge strain on your body.
Ekko was able to handle it because his physique was already at peak condition due to his environment growing up, but Shaun was no more or less a vegetable during his youth.
Now that he turned 15, it was already too late to start training.
Nah, I'm joking. I'm just too lazy.
I mean, you can't expect a weeb to suddenly train like crazy just because he was teleported into another world, right?
I need to find a way to fix this strain.
The first thing that came to mind was transferring the strain to something else. Preferably the pocket watch itself, as it is made of hex metal; one of the most durable thing in Runeterra.
The second thing was delaying the strain, something that I'm not a big fan of.
Imagine that I had to use rewind multiple times within a day, delaying it til' the end.
Yeah, I'd probably be in a coma if I did that.
So... how do I transfer the strain to the watch?
No clue.
So f*ck it, I'm just gonna have to do some exercises daily to handle at least 3 rewinds a day.
After being able to handle 3 rewinds a day, I'll try my hands at... stopping time.
It's every weebs' dream.
Imagine stopping time like You-Know-Who and battering your enemies to death during that period.
I probably wouldn't use it for that. Maybe stealing some very needed materials.
Got it. I'll set up a schedule.
Wake up at 7.
Train your body until 10.
Eat breakfast & lunch (brunch)
Spend at least 4 hours between 11 AM and 6 PM to find a way to transfer the strain.
Then, start formulating plans to steal materials for my weapon.
Finally, just sleep.
I'll definitely be able to handle this. I mean, how hard could it possibly be?
...
I did not follow the schedule very well, at least not the finding a way to transfer strain part.
I got frustrated after 2 hours and gave up, diverting my attention to stealing materials.
And even then, I gave up too. I can't do it without finding a way to transfer the strain in case I f*ck up something in my plan.
So, I changed my schedule.
I HAVE to train for my survival.
It's not want to, it's HAVE to.
I finally understand isekai protagonists.
I decided to train my body for the whole day, doing things that would be considered inhuman.
Before I pass out, I would use rewind on my body only, reverting myself back to pristine condition without my hard work being wasted.
Of course, I passed out, but that's a normal occurrence at this point.
I think I might've set a record; passing out everyday for a week straight.
Yes, a week.
During that time, Shaun's parents returned home, but they didn't notice the hex metal missing, probably because they were too focused on preparing me for school.
Man, I'm gonna experience school all over again.
Hopefully this time I'll get good grades.
...
For my first day of school, they drove me to the entrance and walked with me until I had to enter the building.
Wow. I won't lie, I'm intimidated by the huge entrance and the robots serving as guards.
Now that I think about it, Viktor and Jayce should go to this academy as well.
Welp. Would I see Viktor and Jayce at the academy? Probably. They're geniuses who invent new things on a daily basis. There's no way that they wouldn't have a presentation for the entire school.
It's cool to think about meeting champions from League of Legends, but what's even cooler is... the storage room.
It's only for top geniuses like Jayce and Viktor, but once you have access to it, you essentially have an unlimited amount of hextech cores and metals.
'Haa... I guess plagiarism ain't the hardest thing to do after all.'
I already have a plan for what I'm about to do.
I will try my best to remember inventions from my previous world and bring them over.
It's as if I'm Bringing Culture to A Different World.
Well, I guess it ain't really plagiarism if no one did it yet, right?
Now, the real problem is, remembering them.
I need something to jolt my memory, which is why my life at the school is sponsored by Memory Jolter.
It's an invention made by Heimerdinger.
I'm not surprised that he needed something like that because well, he's a scientist.
It's surprisingly cheap on the market, going for only 5 silver cogs. Something that I can afford with the allowances Shaun's parents gives.
I don't need to be a genius to recreate the inventions from Earth, because most of the advanced wiring/circuit stuff can be replaced with, you guessed it, hextech cores.
Those things are like golden spatulas. You can replace almost anything with them.
Let's start with the headphones and airpods..
There's music in Piltover and Zaun, and there's radios to record and replay them as well.
But there's one flaw, you have to play them out loud.
People are reluctant because some of the music they listen to are... strange.
Yeah, we'll stop at strange.
With headphones and airpods, they'll be able to have music injected directly into their ears and no one else can hear them, unless of course, they're blasting it at max volume.
Best part about this? I don't even need to be the designer!
I'll create a draft of the model, then send it to some production company to work with.
They probably have some people who can work with the ideas that I drafted out, and I'll have shares in the creation of a city changing device!
I'm gonna be rich, mom!
As I was lost in my fantasy, I bumped into someone and fell down.
I was confused. Even if Shaun was inactive for 15 years, I still trained nonstop 15h/d nonstop for a week.
How come I was knocked down so easily?
I looked up, seeing a mass of muscle, and hearing someone apologize.
"My apologies, are you alright?"
He offered me a hand, and I got a good look at his face.
'F*ck... that's Jayce.'
Not the best way to start off my first day.
