Before I got the courage to open my eyes, my head was already throbbing really bad and when I finally did, it was like someone pressed the double option on my headache's remote control

"Argh!" I said closing my eyes immediately and holding my head together with my two hands as I struggled to sit up

"Hey, babe," Emily said as she stood up from where she was sitting to tend to my needs, and even though I was relieved to find someone beside me when I woke up, I was disappointed it was not Damien, after what happened, a part of me thought that he'd be the one here by my side, tending to my needs and using that as an opportunity to make amends but alas! Other things are more important than tending to a raging mate

"My head, it feels like someone's pounding it," I said as I tried sitting up with her assistance
