Lorelei didn't know how they got home without a hitch. Alright, maybe there were some.

The other bus passengers had this weird look on their faces when they got on the bus. Well, it was only natural for them to look at them that way. Who does get soaked that much in the rain anyway? They probably found it even weirder because Jace was carrying an umbrella. Lorelei was also trembling terribly from the cold breeze but aside from that and maybe a couple of squabbling with Jace here and there, their ride home went fine (kind of).

The two of them were unusually quiet as they headed inside their apartment building. It stayed that way until Lorelei broke the silence. "So," she started. "Since you said that the file can be retrieved, are we… you know… back to normal?"
