Leo didn't know what he was doing anymore. It had been seven long years. Yet those years hadn't been totally horrid.

He knew Lettie had grown on him. Dammit, not 'Lettie', Scarlett! He despised himself for giving her such a nickname. It made them seem close or that there was more humanity in her.

Still, the other night was an example of how much he'd let his guard down on the woman. He kept his distance for a couple of days, using it to actually explore parts of Ireland, but like a drug addict, he couldn't stay away for long.

After trying and failing to clear his head of the little redheaded minx that had cursed him into this reality, he spent the following days stalking Scarlett, fixated on her and what she was doing. Obviously, he kept his distance.
