Uncle Dominic took me to his office, shutting the door behind him to block out the rest of the house. He guided me to the seat that I usually sat in when I came to his office and then he stood near the window like he usually did.
"Tell me what you think, Addie. I can see that you have a lot on your mind." He knew me well enough for that. I knew that, but yet, it still shocked me just a little bit.
"Well, I felt stressed and uneasy pretty much the entire lunch." I spoke honestly. There was no reason to lie.
"Because I was there? Or because of something else." He knew but he wanted me to say it.
"No, not because of you. I just didn't feel as if Finnick and I had anything at all in common. I felt like being there with him, talking about things like that, was, well, the only word that comes to mind is awful. I am sorry, Uncle Dominic."
"Why are you sorry, sweetheart? You did nothing wrong."
