Qie Xieling didn't talk to him again. After the ceremony he ran to grandma Qie's arms because of all five adults here she spoiled him the most.
"Let's go and get Lin Lin some ice cream cake and go to the amusement park," she said and no one else was allowed to object.
"I want to go on the big ride!" he said and Qie Ranzhe ruffled his hair saying,
"Your height might be an issue."
A short distance away, Luo Muchen was with his mother only. His only family was his mother which was in big contrast with Qie Xieling's family.
His mother was on the phone with her new boyfriend arranging a date night and Luo Muchen didn't interrupt her. He had just found out that Qie Xieling coming back to school here and made up his mind to also come here.
It was after the call ended that he said, "Ma, I want to go to the elementary school here."
Miss Luo, "..."
"What do you mean here? You know we found you an international school abroad and we can both move there. You worked very hard to get placement," she said annoyed by this ancestor.
She had bought a house and everything but he just had to change his mind. "Why? Why don't you want to go there?" she asked while pulling him along down the hall.
She could feel people's gazes on her. The moms were admiring her son's achievements but the men were admiring her backside. Let's just say that Miss Luo was a very beautiful and alluring woman with a striking hourglass figure.
When she smiled she could bewitch the faint at heart and the fact that she was unmarried made her even more attractive.
"No reason. I just want to stay here," he said and she felt exasperated.
"Fine but you have to behave today at dinner. If you scare off Marvin I will ship you off to that school immediately," she said walking down the stairs in her seven inch stilettos.
Who was this woman? She was an heiress to a multi-billion dollar empire and rumoured former mistress to one of the richest men in the world. These were just allegations and there was more to this story. One thing that wasn't a rumour though was how many boyfriends she had. She was once asked if she would settle down and her response was, "Why when there are plenty of single men lining up to date me? The only man who will always be my priority is my son. I am both his mother and father."
Luo Muchen knew the rumours about his mother but she loved him so who gives a fuck, right? This also meant he made her mother's boyfriends miserable which was why she was asked to behave when they had dinner with Marvin tonight.

Qie Xieling was so happy today that he couldn't contain himself. His dads went to the amusement park with him and let's just say Wen Qinxi would never do that again. He passed out from fright on the rollercoaster and now that brat even had a picture of it.
"Oh, I can't wait for you to go on that ride as well when you are old enough. Let's see if you won't pass out too," he said and Wen Danzhe couldn't help but laugh.
"It was a little funny though," he said while pinching some baby corn fritters with a pair of chopsticks.
"Stop making fun of your dad," said Qie Ranzhe while pulling his husband closer.
"Ah thanks, babe," replied Wen Qinxi only for Qie Ranzhe to continue saying,
"I used that picture as my lock screen wallpaper."
Wen Qinxi, "..."
The private room was suddenly filled with boisterous laughter. Luo Muchen who had left their private room using going to the bathroom as an excuse passed by a noisy private room and because the waiters were delivering the main course the door was open.
He unconsciously glanced inside and to his surprise, he saw Qie Xieling inside there with his family. Luo Muchen didn't stand there for long but he was too eye-catching.
It was mama Wen who saw him first and when she called out, "Whose little cutie is this?" everybody turned their heads.
Qie Xieling being the only little cutie on this table was curious who had the audacity to take his spot.
When he met Luo Muchen's eyes he almost thought he saw a ghost. Maybe if he pretended to be blind Luo Muchen would disappear but his nanas who loved cute little kids didn't let that happen.
"Come on in little one," said Mama Qie while Qie Xieling hid behind his grandma internally chanting, 'Please go away, please go away."
That chant didn't work because he heard his dad suddenly say,
"You are Luo Muchen, right? You are Lin Lin's classmate."
Luo Muchen knew he should politely make an excuse but after almost two years of being ignored by Qie Xieling, he suddenly wanted to stay and take advantage of it.
"I am. Hello uncles," he said before turning to the two older women, "hello aunties."
"Ahaha we aren't that young but thank you," said Mama Wen looking so flattered. They loved this kid. Qie Xieling rolled his eyes only for his father to reprimand him with his eyes.
"Lin Lin why won't you say hie to your friend?" said Wen Qinxi noticing that his son was being very rude. Qie Xieling put on a forced smile and waved at him. He even tried blinking several times as a method to communicate with him but Luo Muchen didn't catch the hint.
"You should join us. Where is your family?" asked Wen Danzhe and Luo Muchen spoke honestly,
"My mum is meeting with her boyfriend for the first time in a month so I decided to give them some space," he said sounding like a very considerate kid but in truth, he was tired of Marvin telling his mother she was beautiful and they should get married. If he stayed any longer he might say something that would have him shipped off to that school abroad.
"What a nice boy. Come sit next to Lin Lin. Young man, can you get us another bowl," said Mama Wen wishing she could ruffle that soft hair. Qie Xieling was almost jealous. He was so used to being the centre of attention. Because he was eating, Qie Xieling ignored Luo Muchen.
Luo Muchen didn't bother him at all that's because he was looking at Qie Xieling's dads. He knew Qie Xieling had two dads but he never thought much about it until now.
It turns out that having two dads was almost similar to having one dad and one mom. The taller one would occasionally feed the shorter one and their shoulders were constantly rubbing despite having so much space. They didn't have to squeeze in together but there were inseparable.
Luo Muchen couldn't understand why two big men would squeeze in with each other like packed sardines when there was so much space. It was a very interesting thing to watch.
He suddenly glanced at Qie Xieling who was stuffing his face with steamed wontons with a look of contentment in his eyes. Seeing those stuffed cheeks like that of a hamster he had the urge to poke them but before his stubborn fingers could even do it, he heard Qie Xieling's taller father saying,
"Here, try this. I peeled it for you and dipped it already." Curious Luo Muchen turned to look at them and saw the taller one of the two feeding Qie Xieling's other dad.
"You like it?" asked Qie Ranzhe his hand wrapped around Wen Qinxi's waist.
"Mmm... it's good. Which sauce was that?" replied Wen Qinxi while Qie Ranzhe wiped the corner of Wen Qinxi's lips with his thumb.
He was about to respond when Wen Qinxi noticed Qie Xieling only eating wontons with no vegetables in sight. He pinched some stir-fried green beans in between his chopsticks and instructed Qie Xieling to open his mouth.
"Eat," he said and Qie Xieling turned his head to the side refusing.
"I don't like it," said Qie Xieling but the look on his father's face wiped away all his resistance. He opened his mouth and took the tiniest bite ever.
Qie Ranzhe called out, "Lin Lin," his tone filled with warning. Qie Xieling almost wailed as he ate the entire thing.
"Good job honey," said Wen Qinxi but Qie Xieling wasn't enjoying the praise. He was chewing with a look of disgust on his face.
Luo Muchen took a prawn and peeled it before moving his hand to place it in Qie Xieling's bowl but what did Qie Xieling do?
He moved his face forward and ate from his hand. Luo Muchen froze his brain short-circuiting for a moment but the culprit kept eating like nothing happened.
Qie Ranzhe who was joining in on the heated conversation happening on the other side of the table saw this and squinted his eyes looking at this Luo kid. He didn't want to believe it but he couldn't shake this strange feeling.
His son was probably used to Wen Qinxi and grandma Qie feeding him that he didn't even think twice but still. And once Luo Muchen did it once he also did it twice. Like an idiot, his son was being fattened up for slaughter. Fine, he was probably thinking too much but damn now that the thought had taken root he couldn't think of anything else.
He had to put an end to this but before he could say anything the door slid open and Miss Luo walked in before saying, "Good evening. I heard you have someone that belongs to me."
Qie Xieling couldn't wait to send off this ancestor so he outed him immediately. "Luo Muchen your mum is here. Miss Luo, you can take him with you."
Everyone, "..."
"This kid is growing a tail," said nana Wen through gritted teeth while nana Qie laughed nervously.
"Your son is a really well-behaved kid. He wanted to give you lovers some space that's all," she said and Miss Luo smiled.
"He is too good, isn't he? Thank you for watching him for me. I am sorry if he inconvenienced you in any way," she said suppressing her true feelings. She really didn't like this Qie kid at all.
"Uh, he was no trouble at all. We should have more play dates," said nana Wen and the two dads lowered their heads in embarrassment. How were they supposed to tell their mothers that their grandson was terrorising that kid at any given opportunity? Of course, Luo Muchen's mother would say no.
"He would be very busy preparing for elementary school but maybe in the future," she said before turning to her son who remained seated, "Mu Mu let's go."
Luo Muchen wanted to stay but his mother looked like she had drunk a few and that Marvin might try to wiggle his way into their house.
He got up and bowed his head thanking them for accommodating him. Nana Wen and nana Qie couldn't help but make awww sounds while calling him adorable.
As soon as Luo Muchen left, the room fell into silence and the two ladies glared at their grandson. "Lin Lin why are you so mean?" said grandma Wen. She couldn't believe her grandson could be this rude.
"Ma... that's the boy he hit before," said Wen Qinxi and nana Qie almost choked on the wine she was sipping.
"Well, that must have been very awkward," said Wen Danzhe stifling his laughter.
Meanwhile, Luo Muchen was receiving an earful from his mother and Marvin had been cast aside.
When the chauffeur brought the Maybach to the front of the restaurant she told him to get in the car and told Marvin they would meet tomorrow or something before angrily getting in.
Marvin, "..."
Luo Muchen just sat there quietly while his mother yelled, "That kid hit you and just like an idiot you go over there to eat their food. Am I starving you? Is that it? Today you are going to watch a movie with me and eat a tub of ice cream whether you like it or not. That's your punishment."
Luo Muchen like always didn't say anything. He was just looking down at his fingers that were almost bitten twice by that hamster.
If Qie Xieling knew that Luo Muchen's secret nickname for him was hamster he might up his prank game and make him even more miserable. He was sitting in the car with his head leaning against the door while rubbing his tummy which was so jovial and full.
Wen Qinxi looked back and said, "Lin Lin you should be friends with Luo Muchen. He is smart and seems to like being friends with you."
Father and son replied simultaneously.
Qie Xieling, "No."
Qie Ranzhe, "Absolutely not."
Wen Qinxi, "???"
"What do you mean no? Even your grandma and nana liked him so much. You said you always wanted a friend so why can't you be friends with him?"
Qie Xieling sat up straight and said, "I have a friend already. His name is Chubs so I don't need any more friends."
"Yes he doesn't need any more friends," said Qie Ranzhe backing up his son with no hesitation.
