Chapter 289: The commotion

Xavier darted his eyes around the place seemingly trying to find someone and when he finally did, a soft smile graced his lips which he quickly wiped away. There she was walking toward him wearing a beautiful dress that made her prettier. Her face held a small smile with a light flush on her cheeks. Blue and gleaming eyes that appeared darker due to the night sky met his own.

"Welcome, Your Majesty. I'm glad that you came today" he heard her say, and before he could reply someone else did.

"You should be" Lexi had a scowl on her face as she added, "Consider it an honor because our Fox tribe doesn't go to lesser events like these....much less the one organized by a Feral tribe"

Lyra's smile dropped from her face upon hearing those words. She gripped Blake's hand indicating to him to not say anything rude. She didn't want to cause any unnecessary trouble on this special day.
