Alicia crossed her arms over her chest, a stubborn expression on her face. The guardian spirit was shooting daggers at the vampire who returned the look to her and all this situation made Glen's work even more difficult.

"I, too, I refuse. I don't want to ally with a guardian spirit!" Alister retorted, revealing his disproportionate fangs threatening the said guardian spirit even if it was useless since he could not attack her other than with his magic because she was not alive.

The werewolf had already explained the whole situation to the vampire but the latter only stared at him with defiance and another emotion. The alpha was ready to swear that the creature thought he was completely insane. It was understandable since he was the only one to see the system. Glen sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose to massage it as the two beings supposed to be his allies in this quest silently searched for a way to eliminate each other.
