Chapter 302: 301

A night passed, dreadful and long, filled with tears and heartaches. In only a night somehow Kai had managed to lose a part of his heart and of his family. His sister was dead, beautiful and kind death had taken her too abruptly and with no mercy. 

That night was excruciating for the young prince, his whole body on fire, his head hurting as if someone was hitting him with a hammer. Sweating, biting his lips and gripping on the sheets it wasn't simply just a sickness of his worn out body but of his wounded soul too. 

Philip had been there, that wretched night, right by his side, his hazel eyes scanning him with worry as he held strong, an unnerving guard. Sweet words, soft caresses and the sound of hums as he tried to calm Kai's crying. He was being tortured too, not nearly as much as the beautiful vampire but seeing him like this, his beloved lover, he felt as if someone was clenching on his heart.
