With all the enemies cleared, Michael could finally focus on dealing with the Eye. Currently, the massive orb was just silently floating in the middle of the room, far too big to move via traditional means. He planned to get Tiffania's help in creating a Teleportation Gate big enough to move it to the Spire, but he first wanted to see if he could do anything to it with the staff...
If that retard Ancano could figure out how to use it without the Staff of Magnus then surely he could too... First, all he needed to do was blast the thing with the sta-"Holy shit!"
Once the beam strikes the orb a massive magically shockwave is unleashed, echoing throughout the room but somehow ignoring Michael entirely. The segmented pieces making up the orbs surface separate and revolve around the thing like a massive puzzle.
Unsure what the fuck he was doing, he just pictured the thing shrinking down and continued shooting at it... And somehow that worked! The orb shifted into itself one segment at a time until it was the size of a yoga ball... An incredibly powerful yoga ball that glowed an almost blinding blue light.
"Alright..." he mutters while walking around the orb, occasionally prodding it with things to make sure it wouldn't detonate as he touched it. Once he was 'somewhat sure' he wouldn't die, he picks the weightless orb up under his arm and quickly makes his way out of the ruins... Could he use Dimension Gate? Sure, but touching this thing with foreign magic just seemed like a stupid idea.
Cloak and Dagger for some reason didn't work in its vicinity, but he could cover the orb in some fabric to stop it from attracting too much attention. Though, the Eredar could obviously sense the massive magical energy being produced by it... Indeed, he wouldn't be surprised if everyone in Winterhold who had a basic magical education could feel it.
It wouldn't matter though as once he was into the newly built doors of his tower he was safe. He clambered down to the basement and quickly shoved the Eye of Magnus into the vacant area in the middle of the room. The room flooded with magic, but he needed to insert the 'control' to fully integrate it into the hundreds of thousands of Aetherium symbols, runes, and ebony wiring.
He allows the Eye to return to its original size and stabs the Staff of Magnus into the hole below the eye that'd been specifically designed for it. "I dub this tower 'The Eye of the World!'." he exclaims while hysterically laughing, wondering if the tower would explode or not.
*SHOooooooooooooOOOOOOOOOOOIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!*
Then, the world turned blue.

Jarl Korir was taking his son Assur for a walk around Winterhold, finding pride in how the city was steadily becoming great again. The Eredar were far better than he expected, proving to be valuable members of the community and firmly cementing them as citizens of the Hold. Even the more 'stubborn' Nords couldn't help but say good things about them as there was literally nothing bad yet... Aside from their 'unnatural' appearance if you wanted to be picky.
Now if he could just find a way to gain control of that damned Colle-
*SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!*
The world was suddenly bathed in bright blue light, Korir grabs his son tightly and looks around, noting that the light originated from Michael Tahlin's now huge tower. Originally it just looked like a rather ornate, grey-stone tower that was bigger than the now destroyed statue of Azura... Now however each surface of the structure was lined with fantastically glowing blue symbols, not only that, the very top of the tower was unleashing a huge cloud of blue particles into the sky, that was now spreading and covering everything like a shield against the heavens.
"Father! What is that!?" his son exclaims, but Korir didn't have any answers...
"I don't know..." he mutters, glancing around and spotting Eredar and other mages dropping to their knees in what looked like both disbelief and worship. He needed to speak with Michael, or that elf girl of his to find out just what the hell was happening!

Similar reactions were happening all over, not only Skyrim, but the rest of Tamriel as well. The wave of blue light flashed across the sky of each Province, reinforcing the usually invisible Veil of Akatosh before going transparent again.
Mages all over the world were going crazy at what was occurring, the amount of magicka required for this phenomenon was so large that even giving a rough estimate stumped the greatest mages.
The biggest reaction by far however that of the Daedric Princes... The Veil of Akatosh that was designed to keep them from influencing Nirn had been strengthened to such a degree that any attempt to influence anything, from mortals, creatures, or objects was quite literally impossible.
The only thing that allowed them a saying at all was the presence of the artifacts which remained in Tamriel. Though, their ability to influence those wielding said artifacts had been massively reduced.
Most were infuriated that this had occurred, primarily, Mehrunes Dagon, Molag Bal, Mephala, Namira, and Hermaeus Mora. Who were each heavily invested in the ongoing of Tamriel. Indeed, for someone like Hermaeus Mora who could not create knowledge himself, he and his realm were essentially crippled, destined for stagnation.
Molag Bal and Mehrunes Dagon were pissed for obvious reasons. They would stand literally no chance in invading Tamriel anymore. Even if the entirety of Tamriel started worshipping them and tried to summon them, they'd still fail...
Some were happy about this, Azura, Meridia, Nocturnal, and Sheogorath...?
Azura and Meridia were grateful that their mortal followers would no longer be influenced by other more dangerous Daedra, the latter celebrating the fact that most Conjuration magic was now useless, primarily Necromancy due to lesser Daedra being required to cast it. Though, this wouldn't completely stop it due to some spells and techniques utilising the original soul of the corpse...
The Prince most unhappy however was Clavicus Vile...
