Chapter 107: Impossible  

[Colm's POV]

"There's nothing to talk about," I said stubbornly, "you and I could never work out. Our rules and traditions are so much different. We could never complete the mate bond."

In order for the mate bond to be completed, the mating ritual must be a success first. But the vampires had their own rituals as well as werewolves. 

What would we do?

Complete each of our mating rituals? Did that mean that I had to go to the vampire Kingdom? I'd be skinned alive there.

The same goes for him here. If the others find out that he was loitering around our territory . . . I trembled at the thought.

When that time came, I didn't know what to do. But I was sure that Reynar would compel me to attack him just for his amusement. The bastard.
