"The news has gone around the palace. I do not who leaked the information but they are scared of me now. I will leave soon . . . I am aware of that but I want to see my children first."
"I do not think the king will want you gone," Selene told her sincerely. "You should speak to him first. I think that way, you will be able to see your children again."
She smiled and nodded. If that was what they wanted her to do then she was going to do that. "I will speak to the king then."
"No," Selene caught her hand as she stood up to leave. "You should take your bath first and look like the king's wife and not someone who escaped from the dungeon. You do not look too good now."
She smiled and sat down again while Selene oversaw that her bath was made ready. She did not require the assistance of her ladies-in-waiting as she did not miss the fear she saw in their eyes.
