"Tsk tsk tsk, you are too nice," Selene replied shaking her head. "But you are right. I will do the same. You remember I was willing to prevent your cousin from dying in the past, right?"
Aurora froze as she was forced to remember her cousin. She has always felt guilty about his life and it seems at the end of it, she was the reason his short life came to such a painful end.
"I could have prevented it all since I was not their target all along," Aurora lamented. "He saved my children and I could not even tell him I was grateful."
Selene pressed her lips together and looked away as she had no intention of reminding her of her pain. "I am sorry," she apologized guiltily. "I . . ."
"It is okay. You are free to talk. I also need such a reminder to prevent me from ever forgetting the selfless sacrifice he made for me and my children when he did not need to."
