She looked at him in disbelief as she could not believe that she just heard the king himself apologize to her looking like a child getting scolded. Her legs weakened and she was forced to sit down again.
"I apologize for all the pain I have caused you. It was wrong for me force you into this marriage," he continued his sincere apology. "I understand why you hate me now. I wish to turn that hate into love if you are willing after all, I do not have much time left and my survival is not guaranteed."
After listening to what he told her, she felt her eyes get misty and she was unable to say a word as she watched him unable to believe the sincerity she clearly saw in his crimson eyes.
"You do not believe me, do you?" he asked as he stood up. His eyes slowing began glowing as the brown in it completely disappeared. "We apologized," he told her calmly with his voice sounding deeper than his usually low voice.
