Chapter 78: LXXVIII: the bond

She hurried to the other door Selene came in through while hoping it will be open. Hopefully, Selene forgot to lock it when she left. 

"Going somewhere?" a male voice asked before the door was pushed open and the person came into view. 

She met his gaze with an angry glare. He returned her glare with a smirk as he strode to her when she moved away from the door. 

"I am hungry," she told him to move his attention away from her.

His attention did not moved at all as his gaze did not even move away from her eyes. 

"I have a duty to fulfill," he told her seriously with his smirk no where to be found. 

She had no idea about what he meant by that and she did not care because of the hunger and desire to escape that had her heart and mind occupied.
