"What are you about to do?" she asked the girl as she took a step back to avoid the girl's touch.
"I am not going to do anything that can kill you. Relax," the girl replied as she dropped her hands to her side with a helpless look.
Aurora still looked at the little girl suspiciously as she relaxed. She knew the girl was truthful although she was not sure about how she got that feeling and why she was willing to trust her guts even when the girl had once tried to kill her for real.
The girl's hands touched the skirt she was forced to wear throughout the journey with a brush of her fingers. Under Aurora's gaze, the black cloth, turned into a dark purple gown that looked straight out of a royal dressmaker's workroom.
She touched the fabric that felt very comfortable and smooth under her touch. The gestured to her to bend towards her which she did and the girl touched her hair with that same brush of her fingers.
