Chapter 100: Jeremy's True Love

"The great demon myth? Of course I've heard about it!"

Jeremy's plain face didn't disappoint or frighten Chris. He knew that this story was infamous among all the wolves, just the case with all the other races of the underworld.

It was an ancient story about the god who created the demons, the great demon. It was said that he was once an angel who fell so high from heaven and stood firmly against the authority of the holy circle there.

So he was cursed and got his body deformed, turning into an ugly creature. The great demon was cursed also with eternal life, so he wouldn't die but he also wasn't literally living.

His powers were sealed and he was cursed to roam the lands looking for pure hearts to devour. When he devours one, a pure heart of a person in deep love mixed with pain and agony of longing, he would regain part of his former powers.
