Chapter 24: Can't Even Touch Her!
Ji Hoon stood in utter silence while gazing up at James. The latter knew this was his only chance to survive this, as for his promises he didn't care about this for now.
After all, once he returned back, he would seek refuge as far away as possible from here. He never intended to commit to any promises at all. Given that, he decided to do anything for now just to survive.
After all, survival was the best thing he excelled at for his entire life.
"You... I think I can't get to the bottom of this, aren't you?" However Ji Hoon said something totally unexpected for James. "You think you can dig your way out of here just with... Sweet and useless words, right?"
"Ahh!"
Just as Ji Hoon said that, he jumped and killed another vampire before hitting another. James saw this and his fake facade blew up. He tried to resist, using all his four limbs to get away from here.
But he couldn't even budge an inch. He was fixed in place with a force that he never experienced before, and never would.
"I will make sure I'll protect what's mine no matter what, I can promise you that," Ji Hoon finally killed everyone but James. The latter saw the terrifying eyes of Ji Hoon and felt dead already.
"W... Wait... Please... I can... I'll be sure to become a good dog to you... Ahh!!!" James tried to sweet talk his way out of here. After all he only got his mouth moving and words as his only weapon.
However against the terrifying Ji Hoon, this tactic was doomed to fail. Ji Hoon stood on top of James' ash before turning towards Anna.
Anna was already unconscious at this moment. However as far as he could tell, she was also pinned in her place just like others.
"Anna..." Ji Hoon tried to get closer to her to take her away. However the closer he got the changes that happened before for everyone reappeared once again over her body.
Her skin started to show wrinkles and that stopped him from taking any more steps towards her.
He gazed up at himself while watching the light emitted from his body still shining brightly. At this moment Ji Hoon was finally relieved from his anger, and all that was left was pure sympathy.
But he never intended to do her any harm. Just as he stood in his place motionless, Anna's body shifted back from the grand wolf appearance to the weak physique of humans.
Ji Hoon wanted to hold her in his arms at this moment, and wanted to take her away. However he couldn't. He only took a single step forward to see the changes return again over her body.
So he had to take that step back. He stood in his place motionless before he took off his jacket. He gazed up at this useless piece of the suit he was wearing before he threw it over Anna's naked body to cover her upper body with it.
"Please... stay safe," he couldn't stay here any longer. He didn't know what triggered this strange power inside him, and he was surely unable to control it.
At least he couldn't limit it to his enemies alone. If he stayed here, he would eventually get blamed for everything that happened here.
As helping Anna wasn't possible, he turned around with a heavy heart and started to move away. The more he walked, the less brightly his energy became until it ceased to exist.
But he never noticed it. All he cared about was that irresistible urge to protect Anna. He didn't even consider the reason behind this urge.
All he knew was that he had to be sure she would end up safe and sound. So he retreated all the way back to the building he once was standing at to watch the entire theme park from far away.
Just minutes after he reached the top of the building, he noticed many cars stopping in front of the park.
Seeing this many grand looking cars alongside the large number of tough looking men who came out of them was a strange scene indeed.
But Ji Hoon didn't see anything wrong in that picture. In his eyes he recognized the old man that left with Anna from the hotel last night.
It was her butler, and he came here on the orders of her brother.
Ji Hoon stood far away while watching everything with his special mask. He saw the men hurry to hold and secure Anna before they carried her into one of the big trucks that came with them.
There were at least hundreds of them running around. They all looked angry about what happened here and they kept looking for those who did that.
However, apart from Anna who was unconscious and the many dead bodies of her guards, only the dead bodies of the vampires who attacked and were killed before were there.
But as for the leaders of such an attack, no one else was found at the scene.
Ji Hoon didn't care about that, as he wasn't interested at the moment in what he just did. He was only watching the powerless body of Anna being put inside one of the trucks while a team that wore white coats hurriedly started to work on her.
"At least you will be safe with them," Ji Hoon couldn't help but mutter while watching that truck moving away at fast speed.
And it was followed by numerous cars, fully loaded with dangerous men.
"Ahh!"
Just as Ji Hoon was thinking about following them, he suddenly felt pain assaulting him without warning. He couldn't help but lean on the ground while holding his heart with both hands.
It was like something just broke loose and started hitting his heart with strange fierceness. Ji Hoon's neck veins popped up while his back arched out of extreme pain.
Then the last thing he remembered was for the weather to change abruptly in front of his eyes. The clear sky dimmed all of sudden and the bright sun vanished before rain poured down over the world.
And he lost his consciousness the minute after while losing track of what was going around.
