Chapter 59: Scarlet – The Argument

Caroline, Sabastian's mother was beyond upset when she realized what sixteen-year-old Scarlet did. No one praised her for her hard work. Or the fact that she has kept Sabastian safe for the past four years. No one even thought to wonder how she kept their relationship a secret. Caroline freaked out. Miranna, my father's mate, called her dad.

We waited in the family room for the arrival of Father. Sixteen-year-old Scarlet grew more nervous as his arrival time came nearer. As I said before, my father's happiness meant a lot to me. I hated when his displeasure came from my actions. This was one of the moments when I wanted to hide away in my room.

Little me shifted on her feet. I observed the display of myself. It was hard to remember what played through my mind then. The nervousness painted all over her face. I could not remember if at the time I regretted summoning Sabastian in the first place.
