Chapter 186: Relaxation
Valentina smiled.
"Good to hear, let's discuss the details," said Valentina as she signaled Leo to follow.
Leo obliged and he took a seat in the kitchen.
"Want anything to drink?" asked Valentina.
"I'll have a coffee."
Valentina nodded as she grabbed the coffee can and poured a mug of coffee for them both.
As usual, Valentina loaded her coffee up with a sugar bomb and a bunch of creamers.
Valentina took a sip of her coffee as she spoke
"Alright, so let's get this started, you already confirmed that the mission was successful, but I also need the details."
"Right, so let's start all the way from the beginning at the original guard that I was supposed to take out..."
Over the next hour, Leo and Valentina discussed all the details of the mission, how it was executed and if there were any flaws.
It was really important that nothing could be traced back to Leo in anyway, since that would cause a whole buttload of issues.
In the end Valentina was satisfied with the actions Leo took and agreed to wire the money through once Leo had his crypto stuff set up.
Leo went back to his basement "room" and decided to order a new phone since he would need one along with some other electronics.
"Right, I should probably make a crypto wallet aswell."
Leo was quite new with the crypto stuff so he had to research it first.
For the rest of the day, Leo did proper research into cryptocurrencies and stuff related to it to figure out the best way to receive the money.
When Leo woke up the next day he was finally ready as the majority of his electronics that he ordered had arrived.
Leo took out his laptop and gave Valentina his crypto adress.
After a while, the money was transferred to Leo's account.
Once he had the money the first thing he did was deposit all of it on a big and well known digital casino.
Obviously, this wouldn't be for gambling, but it would make it significantly harder to trace.
There was a realistic chance that the income and outcome of the money transferring mechanism wasn't monitored or only barely since it was fully automated.
Once the money was received by the casino, Leo would slowly but surely start transferring out the money to different wallets every day.
Once all the money was received he would once again transfer it all to a final wallet, where it would be held up to the point where he would use it.
For now, all Leo had to do was relax and wait, which was frankly something he could get used to.
The words that Ion said to Leo did linger on his mind, he had two literal entities backing him who had their own wishes which he also had to satisfy.
Sogrith mostly wanted to expand his influence meanwhile Ion wanted to protect his influence, two duties that kind of interfered with each other.
However, that was an issue for another time.
Once Leo had finished with his cryptocurrency affairs, he headed upstairs.
Valentina could be seen sitting at a laptop with an earpiece in, discussing stuff.
One advantage of holding a high position was that most of the management and affairs could be done remotely by Valentina as she rarely was required to be present somewhere.
For Leo this was nice, since it generally meant he could be a lazy bum as he didn't have to do anything.
During the day Leo generally did a few sweeps around the house and the outside to see if anything was off.
No one would dare to attack a location without having any intelligence on it, so if anyone would make a move against Valentina there would be a big chance that they would decide to place surveillance around the house first to see if they could collect anything of value.
Ofcourse, this wouldn't be guaranteed, but the chances were big enough for Leo to decide it was worth his time.
"Like usual, nothing." said Leo as he walked back inside.
Leo hung up his coat as he took a seat on the couch and sighed.
"it really feels like I'm living an ordinary life like this."
