Chapter 61: Facility raid (2)

Leo could not help but let a sly smile appear on his face as HQ answered him.

He started walking towards the entrance of the facility and felt in his pockets.

After a while, he took out a card that was similar to an ID card.

It displayed all the information about the agent Leo just killed along with his access level.

On top of the card stood [CLEARANCE LEVEL TWO] in bold letters.

Leo clicked his tongue upon seeing this.

He personally hoped that he would get a level three clearance card, that way he could quickly steal SCP-1278 and then eliminate The Hermit before leaving.

Now he had to find someone with level three clearance and he would have to kill them.

"Clearance card." said a stern voice.

Leo got startled and looked around just to find him at the entrance of the facility.

One of the four guards was standing in front of Leo with his hand outstretched.

"Oh right, sorry. Here." said Leo.

The guard took the card and inspected it for a while before handing it back to Leo.

Leo had already started walking towards the entrance of the cave but he felt a hand on his shoulder.

He turned around to see the guard having placed his hand on Leo's shoulder.

"Wendigo, you have been acting weird today, is everything alright?" asked the guard.

"Yea, I am fine. Just been lost in thoughts." responded Leo.

"Alright, if you ever need to talk I am here for you." responded the guard.

Leo continued walking casually, but internally he was having half a panic attack.

He thought he had been figured out.

Leo entered the cave and was soon greeted with an armored door leading deeper into the facility.

The door was opened and Leo entered the facility.

To the left of the entrance was a map and Leo took a look.

In total, this site had three floors, the first floor was administrative meanwhile the second and third floors contained anomalies.

The second floor was where the guards would sleep and eat meanwhile no one without special clearance or level three or higher was allowed to enter the third floor.

Leo walked around the administrative sector for a while, a couple of people looked at him but no one said anything.

After walking for a while he came across a lone office with a nameplate saying "The hermit"

Leo waited for a while until no one was around and slid his clearance card through the scanner.

As expected, the card was denied.

Leo snorted before heading toward the elevator.

He stepped into the elevator and headed for floor two.

After a while, he was on floor two.

There were a lot more combatives on this floor, but there still were a decent amount of people who wore suits.

Leo took a look at the floor-specific map before making his way over to an office he saw.

The only reason Leo headed towards this office was that it was labeled "Assistant director Liam."

After walking for a short while Leo arrived at the office and scanned his card.

Surprisingly, it bleeped and Leo could hear the lock jump open.

He entered the room and he saw a surprised man looking at him.

"What are you doing here? Is there anything you need?" asked the man.

Leo quickly closed the door behind him and took a look around the room.

It was quite small, it only had a desk, chair, and a potted plant in the corner.

However, Leo was quite happy to not see a camera in the room.

"I have a small problem, Sir Liam." said Leo.

Liam looked at Leo with an annoyed expression before speaking.

"Look, I don't have time for this. Contact my assistant, he will resolve it." said the man before continuing with his paperwork.

"You don't get it, sir. Please take a look at this." said Leo before walking towards Liam's seat.

Leo laid his access card on the table before taking a look at Liam.

"An access card, great. Now leave before I give you a strike." said Liam.

"You really don't get it, Liam. Take a closer look." said Leo.

Liam sighed and put his face closer to the card before speaking.

"I don't see anything, are you retar-"

Crack.

In the next second, Liam was no longer looking at the card, but he was looking toward the wall.
