Chapter 38: Spirit Sword!
The finer the bait, the shorter the wait.
Right now, in front of 15 beasts that were varying in strength, a human acted as a bait to make them run after him.
The human who acted as a bait was Dreamer.
He made a plan to get both him and Liberi out of this situation and get the best results while doing so.
When he checked all the beast's information with God's Eye, a plan brewed inside his mind to get out of this situation.
First, he made Liberi pour his mana on his sword, Venom, in order to turn it to its awakened state.
And when Venom got awake, it released an ominous aura which made all the beasts reluctant to move and fight Liberi.
And now that Liberi was out of question, the beasts then focused on Dreamer instead.
And Dreamer knew that too. So, he just ran to his right side at full speed and as he thought, the beasts also ran after him.
So, in short. Dreamer acting as a bait was a part of his plan and his plan became successful when all the 15 beasts took the bait.
But this was only the first part of his plan as the second part of the plan is yet to start.
'Liberi! Are you fine there!?' asked Dreamer through his mind while running. The 5 points he added to his agility, speed and stamina were showing their benefits as he was able to run pretty fast and without getting too tired.
'Yes, my lord. I am fine and alone here and all the beasts are after you. If this was your plan then tell me what I have to do now?' replied Liberi as he asked Dreamer to tell the rest of the plan.
And after Liberi asked this a smile crept on Dreamer's face as he spoke in a playful tone.
'Just start the hunt!'
After hearing this, Liberi went silent for a moment as he was registering what Dreamer said.
And after a few more seconds he spoke.
"My lord. Now I understand your plan. You told me to awaken Venom so that the beasts would avoid me and then you acted as a decoy to make the beasts run after you so that you could give me the opportunity to kill them one by one. You are really great, my lord!' praised Liberi as he finally understood Dreamer's plan.
'Good. And before you start hunting there's one more thing. You remember that Griffin, the one I told you to remember its appearance?' asked Dreamer.
'Yes, my lord. I remember it.' answered Liberi.
'Yeah. So, about that. I want you to kill him without giving any lethal wounds to his body parts as I want to make him my subordinate. And for the other beasts kill them however you want. Understand?' explained Dreamer as he kept on running.
'As you wish, my lord. So, should I start?' replied Liberi as he asked for Dreamer's permission to start the hunt.
'Of course. I already gave you the permission and do it fast. I am getting slow and they will soon catch up to me.' said Dreamer while looking back and he urged Liberi to start hunting because when he looked back he saw that all the 15 beasts were coming closer to him and at a pretty fast pace too.
'Right away, my lord' replied Liberi as he too started running while holding Venom in his right hand and in its awakened state.
Liberi's agility, speed and stamina were also increased by 6 points so he was running very fast too.
And in just 10 minutes, he caught up to the beasts and got ready to kill them all.
First he activated his skill, Leather Skin, that was given to him by Dreamer in order to protect himself if any beast attacked him.
He then looked at the beasts who were running in the end. And after looking at the beasts he raised his left hand and from the palm of his left hand, an arrow made of fire came out.
This is the skill, Fire Arrow, that was also given to him by Dreamer.
The arrow that came out of Liberi's left palm was not very big but it was also not very small.
The arrow that Liberi fired was going at a pretty good speed and in just 3 seconds, a beast at the end got hit by it.
The beast's furs caught fire instantly and it started rolling on the ground from the pain.
The beast became crazy and started running aimlessly. And soon it got mixed up with other two beasts who were also running at the end.
And then those two beasts also caught fire and got burned to death.
And like this Liberi killed 3 beasts with his skill, Fire Arrow, only.
After this, some notifications rang inside Dreamer's head and he got to know that Liberi started the hunting.

[ 55 XP received ]
'Good. Keep going Liberi. I need to level up to get some more agility and you can't kill all of these beasts alone. So, you need to level up too!' advised Dreamer as he was starting to feel some exhaustion in his legs and his breathing was also becoming heavy.
'Don't worry, my lord. I can do it.' said Liberi in a resolute manner as he started making his way towards the 12 beasts that were left.
He again targeted the beasts at the end and threw a Fire Arrow towards one of them, but it didn't hurt that beast as its skin was very hard.
But Liberi used the fire Arrow as a decoy as he planned to thrust Venom into its skin and Liberi did just that.
He jumped towards the beast and thrusted Venom inside his chest, piercing its heart and instantly killing it.
And then he did the same thing with the other two beasts who were also running at the end.

Dreamer kept on hearing the notifications inside his head and Liberi kept on killing.
Now, only 9 beasts were left to kill and now Liberi was only using Venom in its awakened state to do the killing and leather skin for some defense.
He wasn't using Fire Arrow anymore as Dreamer told him to be considerate about his mana.
The beasts were still afraid to face Liberi because of the aura Venom was emitting and Liberi kept on using their fear to kill them.
He severed the heads of 3 beasts, he cut down the limbs of other 3 beasts and killed them.
His black robe now became blood red in colour and it was perfectly complementing Venom which was in red colour too.
Liberi till now killed 12 beasts but unfortunately, Dreamer still didn't get enough XP to level up and now he was in too much fatigue and he was very exhausted too by running continuously.
Liberi was also feeling tired by the killing spree and by maintaining Venom in its awakened form.
But still, Liberi didn't give up and stayed resolute to fight till death.
After Liberi killed 12 beasts, only 3 beasts remained.
The Amazon Nymph who was at level 5, The Mithril Unicorn who was the strongest and was at level 7 and The Tracking Gryphon who was the weakest and at level 3.
Soon, when the remaining 3 beasts get to know that other beasts are dead they stopped running and when they sensed the ominous aura of Venom coming behind them they becamw vigilant too.
After the beasts stopped running, Dreamer stopped too and he finally felt some relief as he was running continuously for 50 minutes now.
Liberi also stopped and he was also panting heavily but he was still ready to fight in order to protect Dreamer.
'Liberi! You ok?' asked Dreamer while looking towards Liberi.
At this question, Liberi didn't answer anything, he just nodded as he was too busy in looking at the 3 beasts in front of him with his utmost attention and vigilance.
Dreamer was really impressed by the dedication and spirit of Liberi that he was showing right now. So, he decided to praise Liberi and tell him what to do from here.
'Good work, Liberi! You did great. But listen I want you to come and stand beside me while holding Venom in its awakened state.' praised Dreamer as he ordered Liberi to come beside him.
The reason that Dreamer gave such an order was because if Liberi was to stay beside him then there is a high chance that the 3 remaining beasts will hesitate to fight him. So, in short, Dreamer called Liberi to stand beside him for safety purposes.
After hearing Dreamer's order Liberi again just nodded and slowly started moving towards Dreamer.
The 3 beasts were also looking at Liberi cautiously but they didn't attack him because of Venom's red aura.
And soon in just a few seconds Liberi stood beside Dreamer while holding Venom in its awakened state.
After Liberi stood beside Dreamer, Dreamer looked at Venom and after looking at it, a worried expression arose on his face.
'Liberi! How long can you maintain Venom in its awakened state?' asked Dreamer in a worried manner and he asked this question because he needs to know how much time they had to finish this thing.
'For 10 minutes at maximum, my lord.' answered Liberi as his face was depicting the exhaustion he was facing.
'I see. Then can you kill that Nymph? It's level 5, one level higher than you, So, can you do it?' asked Dreamer as he wanted the Nymph to die.
'Yes, my lord. I can kill it. I won't disappoint you.' said Liberi as he prepared himself to fight the nymph. And when he was just about to jump towards the nymph, Dreamer stopped him.
'Stop! I was not asking whether you can kill that Nymph or not. I was asking, ' Can you kill that Nymph in just one single blow?' revealed Dreamer as he asked his full question and this question made Liberi to fall silent for a moment.
Liberi was thinking about this question while looking very closely at the nymph. He was seeing the nymph like a mad scientist who was looking at his creation.
And after a few more seconds he finally spoke in a resolute manner.
'My lord, I can do it. With my own skill, Spirit Sword!'
After hearing such resolute reply from Liberi, made Dreamer believe in him and he also wanted to see Liberi's Spirit Sword skill.
'Yeah, I believe in you. Now, show me!' ordered Dreamer as he was also eager to see Liberi's skill.
Liberi again just nodded and slowly started walking towards the Nymph with his eyes closed.
And then when he was 5 metres away from the nymph he just rotated Venom in 360 degree angle, creating a full circle in the air. And then he kept on doing that.
He kept swinging Venom in 360 degrees angle and soon Dreamer noticed some patterns appearing on Venom's blade.
The previous red sword was becoming white in colour and the previous ominous red aura was disappearing and was changing into a white colour aura.
And when Venom became completely white in colour, Liberi stopped spinning the sword in 360 degrees.
And then he just uttered two words from his mouth in a cold manner.
'Spirit…Sword!'
After Liberi said this, a blinding white light came out of Venom which made Dreamer and the other three beasts blind for a moment.
And after a few seconds the white light dissipated and a sound of something dropping on the ground was heard.
And when Dreamer and the other beasts searched for the source of the sound, they were shocked.
Because the thing that dropped on the ground was the head of the Amazon Nymph.
And then Dreamer searched for Liberi because he was nowhere to be found.
But when the full body of The Amazon Nymph fell down on the ground a figure came in view from behind it. A figure who was drenched in blood, a figure who was soaked in blood.
And when Dreamer tried to look at the figure more precisely he was shocked again because it was none other than Liberi.
Although Liberi was soaked in blood before too, but this time Liberi was looking like he bathed in blood.
And after a few seconds Liberi fell down too.
But before Liberi can fell down completely Dreamer came behind him to hold him and while holding him, he gently put Liberi on the ground to take some rest.
"My lord! I…did…it..I..did..what…you wanted, my lord!" said Liberi in a completely exhausted manner as the skill Spirit Sword took a great toll on him.
"Don't speak, Liberi. And yes, you did great. But this isn't what I wanted.." spoke Dreamer as he praised Liberi but before Liberi can say anything in reply, a notification sounded inside Dreamer's mind.
[ Host's Subordinate successfully killed Amazon Nymph ]
[ 70 XP received ]
[ Level up! ]
And after seeing the notification, Dreamer spoke with a smile.
"What I really wanted was, this!"
