He chuckled at the sight of her little head poking out of the blankets that swaddled her.
"I was wondering if you could sell some equipment I got. It's epic and rare so I can't sell it myself."
"I can, do you want me to auction it or just have it appraised and sold. Appraising can get you the money by tomorrow, but you can probably get more money at an auction."
"Appraisal would be better."
"Okie dokie, let me call my dad."
"Daddy? That boy I was talking about yesterday. He wants to sell some gear. Of course daddy. Mmmmmm. Fine. Promise you will do it if I do? Okie. Thank you daddy. Okay, see you then."
"Daddy said that he wants to talk to you. If you talk to him he will appraise and sell the stuff. We are supposed to meet him just outside of the train station near school."
Jake's mind was racing. He was about to meet the king of the elfs! One of the largest races on the continent with rulers that were past level 100. Upon arrival, Jake marveled at the sight of Jaylens dad.
He was almost seven feet tall with ears sharp as arrows, his face was gleaming in the moonlight which looked perfect with his silver hair.
"You must be my daughter's partymate, correct?"
His voice was soft yet strong. Jake could feel the pressure even though it was clear the king had no intention of trying to scare him. He put his head slightly down and began to speak.
"Yes sir. My name is Jake Alexander. Pleasure to be your acquaintance."
The king let out a soft chuckle.
"Oh there is no need to be so formal. And call me Allian. We are basically family now, we are both in charge of protecting this little one."
Allian patted Jaylens head and scruffed her hair.
"I hear you have some items you wish to sell?"
Jake handed over all 8 pieces of gear and put all of the class rewards in his inventory. The four scrolls were useless to him outside of the summon, but he didn't need it.
"Also Jaylen, I found these and figured you could use them."
He handed over the undead rank up scrolls to her as her eyes lit up. She immediately grabbed them and summoned her skeleton mage. She ripped the scrolls in half and they burned to bits as all its energy flowed into the mage. It at first looked like a naked skeleton with a small wooden staff. Its staff then got bigger as well as gaining a dark cloak. It then grew in size and a gem formed on its staff. It then ranked up to lord and its bone started to freeze. Its cloak gained a whitish blue outline. A dark blue flowed through its bones as the ice shattered. The final product was a lord rank skeleton that could probably take on a full party of level fives.
"Jay! What did we say about using things without asking if we are sure first?!"
"Sorry Daddy, he just looks soooo cool! His magic stat is even higher than mine! And mine is already double what it's supposed to be!"
"Jay! We talked about this, no revealing your abilities! I'm so sorry for my daughter's behavior. I guess you would have found out eventually."
"So her passive is to have double magic stat?"
"I have double magic and mana. And it's an early bloodline ability not my passive. It's super good! And now the lich palace is going to be really strong thanks to you."
She gave him a big hug, making him blush from her breasts squishing into him. After what happened with him being forced to decline Taff's pursuits, Jake was thinking about dating; but at the end of the day she was a princess so his chances were basically zero in his mind.
She released him and Allian started to appraise the gear. Jaylen was fawning over her summons new look when he put all of the armor on. The sword was just a hilt with a laser katana beaming out of it when turned on. This meant it wouldn't break from wear and tear, but would drain overtime instead.
It was all black and dark green with the helmet fully covering his head. The whole thing looked to function on power like a high tech hazmat suit with a sword. The only thing that wasn't green or black was the blade which took on a bright blue color.
"This is some really strong equipment, where did you get this?"
"A full roleplay quest gave it to me, otherwise there's no way I could get that epic chestplate."
Normally this would be private information, because he also knew something new about Jaylen so he didn't have to worry about them telling anyone.
"I can get you 5K for the spear, about 3 million for the full zombie slaying laser set, and another 2 and million for the chestpiece. How about I transfer you 5 million and we finish there. I know how important it is for you to have money now with how fast growth rates are in college."
Jake was ecstatic, he was just transferred 5 million dollars, which was enough to buy multiple full sets of armor, or one high quality mid tier gem. Jake thanked the king and the two of them went back to their room.
The entire way back was mostly Jaylen apologizing for using the scrolls without thinking, but he was planning to give them to her anyway so it wasn't much of an issue. Jake spent his time looking through rainforest.net for something to treat himself too. It was hard to imagine it had been less than a week with how long it was for him. He had been doing things for almost two months in his time and was exhausted emotionally from all of the hard work he was putting in without actually increasing his level, he was still level 6 after all.
