Alexander stormed into the castle. He couldn't wait to get his hands on his wife. He could hear the footsteps of his brother behind him. He wanted to strangle Judd but first, he would find his little feisty wife and he would teach her a little lesson.

He was halfway to her bed chamber when he saw her coming out of Lisabeth bedchamber/ makeshift prison.

Alexander's anger intensified until he saw her face. Her eyes were red and her face was tear-stained. He stopped and looked at her, the last grip of anger leaving his body, slowly.

"Monisha, what is it?" Alexander cupped her face. Her tears threatening to push him over the razor edge of reason as he tried to figure out the problem.

Jamie's body shook as she pressed her face into his chest.

They were in public and there was no way he would allow anyone to see his Queen in this state.
