Chapter hundred and thirty seven: Just like a rock

Alexander looked at his Queen Luna and he saw how uneasy she was. She was taping her fingers on her thigh and she wasn't standing still. Her lips grew thin and firm in a way that she couldn't shrink it further even if she wanted to. She was on the spot and everyone was looking at her.

Alexander pulled her aside and cupped both cheeks to force her to look at him. Jamie did but it didn't stop the cold spider like fingers from racing up and down her spine. She managed to hold his gaze.

"Talk to me, Darling. Let me in on what's on your mind" Alexander looked concerned; a tiny frown left lines on his forehead.

"I am not ready to talk to him...I just...I am not ready to face my...the King" Jamie felt the ache in her belly.

What was ache telling her? That a few weeks ago, her father's arms where the safest place she could be but now....she dreaded seeing his face? She tried to ignore the ache.
