Ursla tried not to appear terrified but she was pointing a weapon at the devil of Aradale. And he was looking at her like he wanted to rip her to shreds. 

Alexander relaxed but he didn't move an inch from the place he stood. He was trying to understand the type of loyalty that would make someone like the girl on his bed do something as idiotic as threaten him with the most unusual weapon on earth...a bloody spoon!

Alexander noted how easy it would be to snap her neck but if he remembered correctly, Ursla did save his life when he was an injured wolf. She saved his life the day his father was killed. Alexander tried to master some sympathy for the young girl but he couldn't muster any.
