Chapter 65: Morning surprise

The curtains were drawn letting the sunlight into the room. The rays of the sun lit up the room, Marcus brought his hand to his face to block the sun from his eyes. He was still very sleepy.

He turned away from the side of the bed to get back to sleep. Nothing in his life was worth getting up to. The tides at the palace had been changing for so long it didn't feel like there was any hope for him. It was only a matter before Reina would ask the king to let him down. 

When that happened, the woman would go after his kingdom and wipe out everyone to feel better about being betrayed. The young man felt weight push the mattress down on the other end of the bed. Yet, he didn't turn to see what was happening.
