Chapter 52: True love's tears

Everybody has a chapter of their lives they don't read out loud. For Marcus such a chapter was the day that the world made him bent his head in defeat. 

The day that the world forced him to live without his king. Every story is told with the king finding ways to bow to his queen at the end. But his story ended differently. 

Morpheus was taken from him too soon. And his heart was never the same afterwards. The world only saw his change but not the pain that changed. 

They judged his cruelty overlooking the scars in hus heart. They called him heartless after ripping his heart from his chest and crushing it under their wicked heels. 

Rumors went around that the Seat knew not how to love, after they had taken the one he loves and cursed the two of them to be apart. 

They blamed him for letting hus heart darken and washed their hands of any fault of making him the way he was.
