Chapter 29: You are really beautiful

The King's glare sent the royal physician running from the room. The queen remained still, unfazed by his anger or behaviour.

He had shown her what her place was before him. She was no beggar that would keep pleading at his feet for him to return to her, he could do whatever he wanted.

Marcus and Dara crossed paths with the physician on his way out. They sauntered into the room slowly, they had worried looks in their faces. The matter at hand was not a light matter, it concerned a life and that made it urgent.

"Have you no heart?" Morpheus raised a question to the queen. Reina blinked her eyes, she had a heart that he crushed with every step that he took away from and towards Marcus.

It was easier for him to point fingers and judge her because he was the one who got to choose. Only when he becomes an option to someone will he be able to understand what she is going through.

"How can you even think of killing my child?"
